None Are Surprised

You are The Devil

Materiality. Material Force. Material temptation; sometimes obsession

The Devil is often a great card for business success; hard work and ambition.

Perhaps the most misunderstood of all the major arcana, the Devil is not really "Satan" at all, but Pan the half-goat nature god and/or Dionysius. These are gods of pleasure and abandon, of wild behavior and unbridled desires. This is a card about ambitions; it is also synonymous with temptation and addiction. On the flip side, however, the card can be a warning to someone who is too restrained, someone who never allows themselves to get passionate or messy or wild - or ambitious. This, too, is a form of enslavement. As a person, the Devil can stand for a man of money or erotic power, aggressive, controlling, or just persuasive. This is not to say a bad man, but certainly a powerful man who is hard to resist. The important thing is to remember that any chain is freely worn. In most cases, you are enslaved only because you allow it.

Obviously I have ADD

This was supposed to be a post with a different subject altogether but the Sirius distracted me. Bad Sirius. BAD, Bad Sirius, playing music that I actually like unlike the stupid local stations that play absolute shite.

I remember back in the day when WLRN had a show that played cool shit like The Sisters of Mercy and Catherine Wheel and the odd The Smiths tune. Now you can only hear it on the Sirius "Classic Alternative" station. Are they trying to make me think I'm old or something? I don't feel old. Or at least I still act like a kid.

Anyway, to celebrate my upcoming birthday, I decided that I needed to replace my beloved Nine Inch Nails "Pretty Hate Machine" tape that was played until it broke. Much to my chagrin, I could only find it in LP. Who the fuck buys LPs? Why can't they have it in CD like normal? And I'm certainly not going to by it in MP3 format. Fuck that! However, I did discover this. Which totally rules. A friend of mine's 6 month old will be getting this for her first birthday.

I'm used to getting what I want. I'll find the CD... Oh, yes... I WILL find it!

That is all.

I have a blog? Oh, right!

I would just like to thank Mrs. PA for shooting down what I thought would be a most excellent post. "How much did you have to drink over the weekend?" she asks. Humph.
