Well I am busy, busy, busy, with work. I'm working 7 days in a row before having a day off. At least I am making da moneyzzz. ;D When I finally do have some time off & get my tax return moneyzzz, I just might splurge by going out to American Icon (a gastro pub/brewery near work) with a coworker/friend. :)

Well today at work there was a board meeting that I had to provide food & coffee to, so I got to hang out with the CEO's Executive Assistant a little bit (she's one of my favorite people at work & also an awesome lady). Then I had to provide plastic plates, utensils, & a couple of tables to the education department and then go help them out with the pizza party that they had for about 100 students. Afterward, there were 2 whole pizzas left, so the Director of the department said I could take one for my department. She also thanked me for helping them (she's another one of my favorite people as she's very nice). At the time, the CEO's Ex Asst was also with her. I told them that helping them was much better than the alternative (working for my bosses) which they thought was hilarious since they know how difficult my bosses can be. ;P
Then after all that, I had to set up 3 bars for an event tonight. I was really tired after a long day & just wanted to leave as soon as my shift was over at 4pm. Big boss had asked me if I could stay to help out but I said NO!!! I already worked 9 hours today & I'm scheduled for 11 hours tomorrow & 11.5 hours on Saturday. I don't want to overdo it. :/
Don't want to burn the candle at both ends, or something like that. :)

Well this morning I had another scare with the urinary retention. I woke up at 3:30am feeling the need to pee but it didn't want to come out. Luckily for me, my bladder wasn't too full yet & I managed to get some out after a couple of tries, but I was still unable to empty it fully. I figured I'd have to go to the ER again, so I went to take a shower. I guess since I was standing up and not putting pressure on my bladder combined with the hot water relaxing me somewhat, I was finally able to go & emptied fully. I could feel that something wasn't quite right last night, so I wasn't too surprised. I ordered some catheters just in case this keeps happening & I'm anxious for them to get here so I don't have to keep running up ER bills. :/

They're cheap and if it doesn't work you can still call the ER. Maybe you should practice with a catheter first so you know what to expect if you really need one.

It's fairly straightforward. Just locate the pee hole & shove it in about 2 inches or until pee starts coming out. Of course it's easier when someone else does it. ;P
Well I didn't have any problems going this morning aside from it being slow to start. I managed to sleep 5 hours before having to get up to pee. Afterwards I went back to bed for another 3.5 hours. I was sure to monitor how much I was drinking yesterday and to stop drinking anything after 8pm.
In other news, last night the wife of my ex-boss's daughter was at the wedding working for the caterer. She didn't recognize me at first, so I said hello to her & asked if she remembered me. I thought it strange that she would be working as a waitress. Eventually she told me that she was getting divorced and that it was a nasty one & that she was kicked out of the house & lost her job working for soon-to-be-ex wife. Then she burst out crying & I gave her a hug to try to console her, then everything got really awkward after that. She always used to do what felt to me like flirting with me years ago whenever she & soon-to-be ex were having relationship problems and it made me uncomfortable. It felt kinda the same last night. I felt bad for her but I don't want to be involved in that drama. I prefer to leave people from the past in the past.

::shudders:: D: Who knows? Maybe? I'm not into that. And she hasn't exactly aged very well. I felt kinda bad about thinking that, like I was being really shallow, but it was kinda shocking. The way she aged around her eyes with big bags under them was just bizarre looking.
The worst part of the whole situation is they have 2 kids together (1 each from same sperm donor). Nasty divorces always affect the kids negatively.
I have really mixed feelings over it. On one hand I feel bad for her, but then on the other I kinda don't. She stayed with her for the $$$ even though soon-to-be ex was always a bitch & cheated on her. I didn't ask about what finally made them start divorce proceedings, but I can imagine it's the same sort of bs that has been going on for their entire relationship.

I bought it because it was funny & on sale ($6.50). It was only later that I realized that it kinda looked like it could be a Valentines shirt. I told my assistant manager that if it comes before Valentines day that I will definitely wear it on Friday. ;D ;P

Not that I know of, except for Halloween. My department isn't too strict about us wearing t-shirts while we set up before events as long as they don't have anything offensive on them. Anyway, I don't think that I will be receiving the shirt before tomorrow as the tracking showed it in Mississippi this morning. Maybe It'll arrive within the next 2 or 3 days.
In other news, even though I went to bed at 10pm last night, I couldn't fall asleep to save my life. I ended up tossing & turning all night, then got up 2 or 3 times to pee. I think I managed to fall asleep about 30 or 45 minutes before my alarm was set to go off. Needless to say, I felt like crap all day. Now that I'm home, I still feel like crap since I'm trying to stay up so that I go to bed at a normal time. At least I don't have to go to work until 4pm tomorrow.
No. I'm not sure why. I *did* have half a glass of regular iced tea earlier in the day, so I was wondering if my body is now that sensitive to caffeine. I had stopped drinking anything with caffeine since I got out of the hospital.

I nodded of a little after 8pm while watching TV. Then I felt the need to pee which woke me up. When I went to the bathroom, it didn't want to come out immediately, but then it started coming out as a trickle. I did manage to get it all out. I had been feeling bloated & pressure in my abdomen all day, so I wasn't really surprised. I ended up turning the TV off & going to bed around 8:30pm. During the night I was kinda aware of some pinching sensations in my abdomen, but I pretty much slept like a log until a little after 5am when QoH started banging on my door because she couldn't get her TV to work. (She somehow manages to get it off channel 3 which is the channel that it has to be on for the satellite receiver.) Anyway, I fixed it, then went to pee again which came out more normally. I went back to bed and slept until 9am. So I ended up getting about 12 hours total. When I went to the bathroom after I got up at 9am, it was back to normal. :)
Nothing since it's an old analog TV. Since the government switched to broadcasting in full digital over 10 years ago, it doesn't pick up any channels over the air. If she wants to see something on an over the air channel, I have to hook up a converter box. All of that is way to complicated for her to manage, so I don't bother with it.
I have a big flat screen digital TV in my room, but the coaxial thingy in the back where you would normally hook up the cable or antenna started malfunctioning a few years ago, so I have stuff hooked up via the other inputs on the TV. :/
Well this weekend I have been working the Diego & Drew Say I Do show. It's like a fake gay wedding that people come to as if they are a wedding guest. We set the tables with water & champagne, serve them a buffet dinner, then have to clear the dishes from the tables, then serve wedding cake. It's really exhausting. I'm glad that today is the last show. I only had to work 3 days of it out of a 2 week run. I don't know how my other coworkers are managing to do it. It's one of the things main things that I hated about regular catering (that I usually don't do at this current job). I hate doing waiter work. :/
In other news, I went to bed at 11pm & woke up at 1am to pee but was having bad retention again. My lower abdomen was as hard as a rock. I managed to do a poo, but still no pee. I was going to use a catheter, but decided to wait a bit. I went in the shower to see if I could pee while standing up since that position puts less pressure on my bladder. I managed to go like that. I went back to bed, then woke up at around 5:30am to go again. Same thing, so I just went in the shower & managed to go. I went back to bed again, woke up at 8:30 to go again, this time it came out okay without me having to go in the shower. Then I did a second poo which further relieved all the pressure in my abdomen. That seems to be the problem. When everything is too full down there it cuts off the urine flow. :/
So I guess you could eat less? Or eat stuff that moves more easily through your colon?
I've been trying to do that, but it's hard sometimes at work since I can't control what's on the menu. I do try to eat smaller portions if that is the case.

Yes, but unfortunately from what I've been reading, they grow back. And I don't trust these doctors around here to do it properly without botching me. Roxy had her fibroid so removed, then they came back. Then she did the partial hysterectomy (leaving the ovaries) and has been screwed up ever since. She keeps telling me not to do surgery if I can manage to shrink the fibroids naturally or by some other less invasive procedure.
I hadn't texted with her for 17 days. She got mad because I made a joke about White Claws (5% alcohol flavored seltzer water) then got rude with me, so I told her that if she doesn't want to hear it then I don't have to text her at all. So I didn't. She cracked first & texted me this morning. She said that she hasn't been working because her mom fell and broke her hip & femur & had to have emergency surgery. Then she has her dad with the beginnings of dementia to deal with also. So I guess she isn't doing too well as far as having to deal with all that.

I told her that White Claws are a frat girl drink. It's true! The place near work where we went a couple of times is a FSU bar (partial to the Florida State University Seminoles teams) and the majority of the clientele is young college grads who most likely belonged to fraternities & sororities. They always advertise specials for buckets of beers & White Claws which they all go crazy for. Roxy likes White Claws & took the joke personally.

It turned out to be fairly easy. We had to go with the rain plan, so that moved the cocktail hour into the lobby of the main theater, so they used the existing bars which meant that everything was already there & we did not have to stock any bars. The only thing that we had to do was set up the 4 bars in the ballroom for the after party. That wasn't difficult. The worst part was having to be there for 13 hours. I'm exhausted and it's waaaay past my bedtime as it's almost 2am now. :/

Anyway, I had bought *2* 1 pound packages of asparagus about 2 weeks ago because QoH said that she wanted to make asparagus soup. Of course, she is too lazy to get off her ass and do it herself, so she has been waiting for me to do it. I was shocked that they were still any good after that long. The first package was perfect so I made a batch of soup which turned out really good, so then QoH wanted me to make more. The second package had about half of the asparagus tops that were getting funky, so I just discarded them. I tweaked the recipe a little, so the second batch tasted better IMO. :)
And I had ordered 2 more bottles of the Fibro Defense pills that I have been taking. To my surprise, they were delivered 2 days after I had ordered them. It turned out that the company I used is affiliated with Amazon, so that's how it was delivered so quickly. :)
The original recipe called for 1 tablespoon of lemon juice which was a little too much IMO. For the second batch I used not quite 3/4 tablespoon. Also, I didn't follow the recipe exactly as it was written. I used more vegetable stock and less milk than what the recipe said. ;)

In other lady parts related news, Ma Nature has arrived today! And it's probably the first time that I'm happy about it because it started with pinkish blood! (A sign that my estrogen is low) Which is good news! And more proof that the pills that I have been taking are working! Woohoo! I just wish Roxy had known about the pills 10 years ago so she wouldn't have had to endure all her surgeries & hysterectomy. :/

Yes! Fibroids grow because of an excess of estrogen. Women go into a phase of estrogen dominance after 40. All the chemicals & hormones (xenoestrogens) in food make it worse. Obviously these pills help to lower the estrogen & the fibroids shrink when there is low estrogen. I could actually feel a pinching sensation when they were shrinking.
So far, my period has been relatively normal. I only had 3 tiny clots instead of the numerous huge ones that I had been having. Also it has been normal bright red blood. :)

From what I've read, it's something like that. Fibroids can make a larger surface area of the uterus & increases bleeding, plus they can interfere with the uterus contracting, so the blood stays in longer & congeals. It's not dangerous, just annoying. Hopefully in a few months of taking the pills, everything will get back to normal.
I saw one of my 3rd floor friends today. I had told her about my fibroids a while back. She's very nice & caring and told me that she had them before, too. She's been very supportive of me seeking alternative treatments. She was so happy for me when I told her that I had been taking these pills and that they gave me relief after only 3 weeks of taking them. I used to watch that show when I was in high school (the original version with Clive Anderson as host) and he was always one of my favorites. :)
I had asked Big Boss last week if he could get me tickets to see Trixie Mattel this Tuesday. Hopefully he follows through. If he does, I might ask the lady from event services if she can get me in to Trixie's meet & greet. ;D ;P

Luckily for me, the thing that I was supposed to come in for at 6:30am on Wednesday got cancelled, so now I'm coming in at 2pm and won't have to worry about having to leave the show early or not getting any sleep. :)
Yep! It wasn't actual tickets, but a "location pass" for a couple of seats on the back row. They weren't bad seats since it's a small theater and all the seats are relatively close to the stage. At least we were almost center & unobstructed by other people. :)
The show was really good. Trixie played guitar, had a backup band, & did a comedy act complete with wardrobe changes. There were also parody spoof commercials that were really hilarious. ;D
My coworker, Evan. He enjoys a good comedy show. I didn't even bother to ask Roxy. She's been acting very antisocial lately and has too many problems with her managers in her department, so she wouldn't have wanted to go. And frankly, I'm tired of asking her to go places only to be given a bunch of excuses as to why she can't go.
Anyway, I have another 13 hour day tomorrow. We have a the International Women's Day thingy (which I don't mind working because we get lots of free stuff ;P).
I think because she's dealing with a lot with her mom in the hospital & her dad who is a handful (I think he's getting the beginnings of dementia). Plus her brother & sister don't help even though they are both monetarily well off.

I worked 63 hours in 7 days. I pretty much go to work, come home, take a shower, go to sleep, then get up & go back to work. At least I'm off tomorrow, then it starts all over again on Tuesday.

Yes, it is! And today I bought a pink plush blanket with llama motif. I had been eyeballing it at Aldi for a couple of weeks. Today when I was in there they had 1 left and it was marked down, so I bought it. :)
I also bought 2 corned beefs that were on sale for $2.99/pound which is about as cheap as you can get it. And by some miracle, they had some of the asparagus left that were on sale for $.99/pound(they had been sold out all week), so I bought 4 packages of those so I can make more asparagus soup. :)
I guess I'll use it as a lap blanket since it's a twin size (my bed is a full) and not quite large enough to use as a regular blanket. It'll look good with my pink sheets & the stuffed llama toy that I got on markdown after Valentine's day. :)

Well yesterday at work I had an accident while moving one of the portable bars into the elevator in the kitchen. People keep storing crap in the elevator (which is a code violation) and the portable bar hit some of the crap when I was putting it in then bounced sideways & smashed my pinky finger between the bar & the metal door frame. It hurt so bad that I almost passed out & it made me puke. The chef saw me holding my finger with a paper towel & getting ice, so he was trying to help me. I sat down in a chair & I told him to go tell my bosses who were upstairs in the ballroom. They came down & helped me while I was almost passing out. Luckily for me, it's not broken. My knuckle got the brunt of the blow. It broke the skin a little so I was bleeding & had a big blood blister & my finger was swolen. I kept ice on it & my assistant manager Alex stayed with me & rubbed an ice pack on the back of my neck & got me a garbage can when I felt like puking. After I puked, I felt much better & the fuzzy lightheaded feeling like I was going to pass out went away. I was also very hot & sweating profusely. I guess all the adrenaline caused that. Alex was asking if I wanted ice down my bra & pants, then said that sounded kinda creepy so we started joking that she's sexuality harassing me instead of being a nurse. What's crazy is how fast my finger got better within a couple of hours. I swear it has to be the pills that I'm taking for the fibroids because they're supposed to promote cell regeneration. I was joking with my bosses about being Deadpool because by the end of the night it didn't even hurt. :)

I got notified that we would be closing for the next 30 days this morning. Previously they had put notices up in all the bathrooms about hygiene, hand washing, & staying home if you are sick. I was pretty pissed about losing work, but my bosses texted me to say that I'm still coming in Mon, Tues, & Wed so far. And unless clients cancel catering events, I'll still be working regardless of the theater being closed. Then big boss called to say that if clients cancel, he'll make sure I still get my hours. :)

She said the stupidest thing to me the other day. She said she doesn't know how I haven't gotten the virus yet since I'm around lots of people at work. The way she said it sounded like she wanted me to get it. I told her it was a stupid thing to wish on me because if I got it then she'd catch it from me & I wouldn't be the one who would die from it!
The virus kills about 3% of all infected so if everyone in the USA gets infected that's about 9 million dead Americans.
You're assuming that everyone in the US would get infected. That's highly unlikely. I think at this point it's less than a fraction of 1% who have actually gotten it. 41 people dead out of 330 million isn't a lot. More people die from accidents every day.

I have been going outside & raking leaves for the last 3 days. It's a good way to avoid being in the house with her as well as getting some sun & fresh air. The sunlight is good for vitamin D, the UV light is good for killing germs, and I'm getting some exercise. :)

Not really. I certainly don't have a tan since I work indoors & wear long sleeves & pants as a uniform. And since I was in the hospital, I haven't worked out like I used to. I'm just now getting back to normal & feeling well enough to do strenuous exercise.

Well Ma Nature showed up last night. The only good thing about having the big fibroids was that I didn't seem to have the bad cramping to start things off. Now that they've shrank, I'm back to having the cramps. :/ I guess I'll just have to order some of those period pills from the same company that I get the fibroid pills from.

That's good. Where I live (Miami Gardens) it seems like everything is business as usual. Today I had to go to the post office. It was packed like always and the traffic seemed to be as bad as usual. Other places in the county have been put on lock-down & curfews, though. Technically that is unconstitutional. If anyone gets arrested, the charges wouldn't stick. I've already seen people question these lock-downs and the people in charge walking it back a bit.
I'm ready for things to get back to normal. I've already been home for 2 weeks. I can't take much more of QoH. :/

I have been trying to work out regularly during this ordeal. Usually I just to upper body exercises. Thursday I decided that I should do a leg day. I did 100 squats & 100 lunges (5 sets of 20 spread throughout the day). Well I should have stopped at 60 lunges, but I went ahead and did 100. Now my legs are freakin' killing me! I can barely get up & down the stairs. :/ Oh well, no pain, no gain. I'll just have to do fewer reps but more consistently when I'm able to move again. ;P

More people than that die every day from other things beside the effing Wuhan flu. What's really stupid is it seems like people are out & about like normal with no sign of any police or authorities doing anything about it, not that they could do so legally. It's all just quarantine theater IMO.

Yes, I'm sure many more people have had it without knowing. From what I've been reading, it seems that people in this country started getting sick with "a virus" that wasn't the flu since late December. I'd bet the farm that the 4 f&b managers at work who went to the trade show in San Francisco on Jan 20, brought it back with them. They were all sick & exhibiting the covid-19 symptoms (even though they all denied having it). I must be immune because I never got sick even though I was in close proximity to them while they were hacking up their lungs. I think the speculation that California developed a herd immunity since they were unknowingly exposed longer than the rest of the country is probably correct. They have very low #'s of people with the virus compared to the rest of the country. Also their mild climate & natural social distancing through urban sprawl & no subways probably also factors in.

Anyhoo, today was leg day of my weekly exercise regimen. I didn't do as many reps as the last time when I overdid and couldn't walk for 4 days. Lol But I *did* do a couple of sets with weights and I added dumbbell dead lifts with my 20 pound weights. Hopefully I'll still be able to walk tomorrow. ;P
Well I was only a tiny bit sore in the quads & booty, but nothing compared to last time. I also threw in 150 pushups (40 regular then 130 modified) just for the hell of it. The modified I did for 3 sets (50, 40, 30) at a fast pace until muscle exhaustion. The pump I got from that felt really good. :)
Today is abs day, but I'll do those later this evening.
QoH is being a massive bitch today. Since I'm trying to disengage from her bs & staying locked in my room, she's taken to banging on my door & calling me names. Then she has all sorts of issues with neighbors & tries to enlist me to go out & get into confrontations with them. I told her that since she loves to argue so much then she should go do it herself. She thinks calling me a chickenshit is going to persuade me to do her dirty work for her. Well she's the chickenshit! If she was such a badass then she should go do it herself instead of trying to get me to do it! OMG she's such a despicable person! :/

No, it has never persuaded me to do her dirty work for her. It only works to piss me off & makes me not want to do anything for her. She used to say the same thing to my dad IIRC.
Anyway, I talked to my dad on the phone yesterday and told him about it. He said that she's a real asshole to try to get me to start confrontations with neighbors as that could be potentially dangerous, especially since I'm a small female & there are a lot of males who don't think much about physically attacking a woman. He's 100% right about that.

It was just cheap domestic mass-produced beer. Nothing special but better than nothing. Publix had the 18-pack on sale for $11, so that was about as cheap as I can buy it. I just stay in my room & watch TV, look at YouTubes, sometimes talk to a friend from work or my dad on the phone, & work out. Occasionally I'll go outside & rake leaves & put them in the trash bin. Unfortunately the trash bin doesn't hold that much. They pick up trash twice per week, so getting the whole yard raked & tidied up has been a slow process. Then when you think one area is fine, more leaves fall. >:(

I ordered a pair of goth/punk distressed leggings for myself from Walmart dot com on Friday. When I checked the tracking, they were being sent from Orlando, so hopefully they'll arrive quickly. I also ordered 2 more bottles of the Fibro Defense pills that I've been taking for my fibroids. This time I ordered them from the manufacturer instead of the other place that I had bought them. The other place raised their price by $5 per bottle. The manufacturer is still the same price that they were selling them the last time.

Well QoH was very crazy today. She came in my room & accused me of destroying plants out in front of the house, then she started pointing her finger in my face and shoving the side of my face with it. I grabbed her wrist to make her stop then she threatened to strangle me, so I grabbed both of her wrists. She then flopped on my bed & knocked some of my clothes off on the floor. I took the opportunity to escape & went & locked myself in my bathroom. She left my room, went back to hers, then I came out of the bathroom & went back to my room & locked the door.
I'm really getting tired of her shit. I don't know how I'm going to do this stay at home bs for another month with her. >:(

Obviously yesterday she went out & saw the plants cut back, but thought it was something new & didn't remember when I did it or why. Anyway, I managed to get out of the house today while she was asleep. I just went to the post office to mail a few bills, then I went to Walmart. Amazingly enough, the Walmart wasn't very busy. They had almost everything that I went for & I didn't have to wait in line at the self check. Of course QoH was up when I got back, but she didn't get nasty with me (to my surprise).
Yes. The most memorable one was a couple of years ago. She was driving her truck & I was a passenger. For whatever reason, she decided to drive around the neighborhood. We were a few streets over (on a main street) when she got confused & didn't know where she was. I was telling her what street it was, but it wasn't computing. She was totally confused like she had never been there before. I had to direct her and tell her where to turn. She was still totally lost & didn't recognize where she was even though she's lived in this neighborhood over 40 years. I think that's the real reason she doesn't drive her truck any more, but she won't admit it. I think that's the reason she concocted the story that she can't drive the truck because she claims that I put tar in the gas tank. The real reason is she's probably afraid of getting confused again while driving & not being able to find her way home. If I wasn't with her the time that happened, I'm not sure she would have known how to get home. She's too narcissistic to admit it, so she has to concoct a story to blame me instead.

In other news, I got the $1,200 for the covid-19 stimulus deposited in my bank account. I thought QoH was supposed to get it, too. Roxy said her parents didn't get theirs yet. When I looked it up, I think she might not be getting it because I claimed her as a dependent on my taxes. That really feels like a gut-punch. If QoH finds out, she'll likely be furious. I was trying to do the right thing, now I'm getting screwed. :/

Anyway, I went back on the tax website & changed things to see what the difference would be. You cannot re-file electronically. You have to print it out & send it to the IRS. *If* I re-filed, I'd have to send the government a check for $700 and I'm not going to do that. I don't care if she doesn't like it. I'm going to continue to claim her as a dependant because I get more than double the refund that I would get otherwise.

Same here, although April has been unbearably hot. Yesterday was a scorcher. My car's thermometer said it was 92 degrees, but with the humidity it felt like 100. To make matters worse, they were limiting the number of people in the stores, so everyone had to wait in line outside in the blazing sun. I had to wait about 10 minutes just to get in Walmart, then not quite that long to get in Sam's. By the time I got home, my bra & shirt were soaked with sweat. :/
If it's this hot already, I'm not looking forward to how hot it will be for the rest of the year.

Enough is enough. The data is starting to show that people were getting this virus months ago and more people were exposed to it than initially thought. People need to be able to go to work so that they can support themselves & buy food, etc. We all can't stay shut up inside forever. Life is inherently risky. Anyway, I went grocery shopping early today with the ulterior motive of going to a friend-from-work's house. I only stayed for an hour, but it was nice to be away from QoH and be with normal people for a while. One of her older twin daughters was there sunning herself by the pool. First time I met her. Also met her husband. They have a really nice back yard with lots of shrubbery and fruits & vegetables that they grow. She has 2 mango trees (like me) that the wind storm the other day blew lots of mangoes off (same at my house). She also has more pineapple plants than me. At least she has a nice screened-in patio around the pool so they can enjoy being outside without getting sucked dry by mosquitos.
Of course QoH started her bs with me as soon as I got home, accusing me of going to dykes' house. I never told her that I was going to my friend's house. She's very creepy..it's almost like she can read my mind. Then she accused me of putting white paint on her truck (it's bird shit) and stealing her glasses (which she misplaced, then found. Of course no apology.). :/

I've been listening to lots of music videos, then shuffle dance videos (I'd like to learn how to do that, but I'm terribly uncoordinated when it comes to dancing & natural rhythm :/ ), then I was curious to see if anyone had any pole dance routines set to Marilyn Manson songs like Cry Little Sister or Birds of Hell Awaiting since I always thought they'd be good songs for pole dancing. (Roxy is always trying to get me to go to a pole dancing class with her.) Anyway, I only found 1 with a group of girls set to Cry Little Sister by Manson. The way the video was shot was very distracting. The person shooting it was walking around & not focusing on any 1 girl. Then with all of them moving around with differing levels of skill, it just wasn't very good. I *did* find a couple of excellent ones, though. This one girl named Jordan Kensley had an impressive routine set to I Don't Like The Drugs. You should definitely look that one up. ;D Then there was a belly dancer doing a routine to Cry Little Sister that was pretty good. That was by The Stygian Collective if you want to look for it.
Anyway, I told Roxy that she should get a pole installed in her house. Then I'd come over and do that with her. There's no way in hell I'd do it in a class in front of a bunch of people!

Those girls on the videos make it look easy, but it's deceptively difficult. You need a lot of upper body & core strength to do it. And it sucks that your body is less cooperative the older that you get. :/

Yes, and it sucks. I have a lingering injury with my right shoulder, then just being less flexible than I used to be. Of course, I could probably alleviate some of that with stretching exercises & yoga, but I don't have any place in the house to be able to do that properly because QoH has it hoarded up with crap & there's no room.

Today when I got the mail & brought it inside, she asked what came. 2 letters were for me. She insisted that I give them to her so she could open them & look at them. She had me cornered & wouldn't let me get by her. Then she started saying if I knocked her down that she would kill me after she got back up. Yes. It's about 10ft x 10ft. With the full-size bed, 2 dressers, & wall unit there's not much floor space left over. I usually just do my abs exercises on my bed.

I can't remember the last time anyone was able to sit on furniture in this house. Definitely more than 11 years ago. She has so much crammed into the living room that you can't even walk in there. And the sofa & chairs are piled up with boxes of crap. :/ BTW, the living room was always "for show" when I was a kid. QoH had very uncomfortable antique furniture in there & no one was allowed to go in there to "mess it up". It was only for guests, which was a kinda rare occasion.

I think by the time I was a teen I knew she was mental, but I was conditioned to accept that that's how she is & I was resigned to my fate. Then in my 20's & 30's when I was around people who called bullshit on QoH's behavior, it gave me the validation & encouragement to defy her more & more. Since she can't control me now like she used to, now I'm 100% evil to her now. ;P

Most of clutter that's piled up on everything is old junk mail, previously paid bills, and notebooks that she obsessively writes notes into while she watches TV. She has hundreds of those. :/
All the excess furniture will be easy to sell or donate. Same with most of her clothes. All the power tools & catering equipment I will probably keep. I'd just need to move it to someplace more appropriate for storage like the carport (which I'd like to close in & make a proper garage so that the space can be made usable).

One of her main tactics was to put other people down & make herself out to be superior. She was always very controlling & almost never let me do the things that other kids were allowed to do. She'd act like the other kids' parents were crap parents for being permissive or "letting their kids run wild" and she was a better parent because she always knew what I was doing, or that she was keeping me from unsafe things.
When I was growing up the phrases I always heard were 'we can't afford it' implying that other parents just wasted money on frivolous things for their kids, or 'it's too dangerous' & 'you'll get hurt' if I wanted to play a team sport. (The team sports thing actually got both excuses! Lol)

I was also not allowed to get my driver's license at the age of 16 like the rest of my peers because she claimed that her insurance costs would go up if I did so. She always acted like they'd be raised by some obscene amount. I doubt that it would have been very much. I think it was more of a control thing since having a driver's license represents freedom & independence.

If that's true, I'll be getting more money to stay unemployed than if I went back to work. It works out at a good time since the summer is usually very slow at my work. They should, but unfortunately the management at work is salaried, so they get paid the same regardless of how busy or not busy we are. Most of them take the opportunity to go on month-long (or more) vacations during the summer. The executive management is the worst. They somehow don't care that the food & beverage department is the only dept. that makes a profit. That's the problem with people whose employment isn't based on being like a real business since we're partly non-profit, rely on donations, & have government funding. If we were like a regular business that relied on being profitable to remain open, they'd be a lot more concerned with chasing those customer dollars.

Omg, don't get me started! First of all, they arrived a few days late. I was following the tracking which never updated from the time it was allegedly shipped until after the due date when they classified it as delayed. I'm assuming it was a problem with the effing post office. There's no way that it takes over 2 weeks for a package shipped from Orlando to get here!!! Orlando is about 3.5 hours drive from here. When it finally arrived, it looked *nothing* like the pic. It wasn't patchwork or distressed, it's more like bathing suit material. The knee patches weren't fishnet like the pic showed, but a thin mesh material. The bondage straps around the one leg were not the ripped gauzy-looking material, but cheap grosgrain ribbons. Needless to say I was pissed! Definitely not worth the $19 I paid! The only thing I liked was what was printed on one of the legs: "I don't care what anyone thinks of me. I already have better things to do than make someone else like me." I was going to return it, but the store isn't doing returns thanks to the effing coronavirus. After I got over being angry, I tried them on. They fit good, so I figured I'd keep them. I can probably fix them up to make them look better. I got an email from Walmart today asking me to post a review. I will definitely be giving them a scathing one. >:(

More actually. That's the problem with it being a county-owned property. It's technically a government job for the management. They get paid more than the private sector & have job security because it's government. They don't have to be profitable to stay in business because they get tax dollars & donations to keep them open.

Not really. I went up to the Aldi in Cooper City (just a couple of miles north of where I normally shop) and bought some strawberries & blueberries that were on sale. It was a nicer store than the Aldi in Hollywood that I went to last time, but not as nice as the Aldi that I go to in Dania (which is along the way home from work). At least I have another option for shopping.

Yesterday I cut up the ginormous watermelon that I bought on Thursday. It was a Florida one. I've had mixed luck with the Florida ones, but this one was sweet & delicious. The bad part is that I tend to eat too much, then I end up having to pee every hour or two since watermelon is about 92% water & a diuretic. Today I limited my watermelon consumption to earlier today so that I won't have to get up a couple times during the night to pee like what happened last night. :/
I also made the mistake of making a pot of regular coffee yesterday. I had 2 mugs full. That also contributed to me having to pee so much. Coffee is also a diuretic. And I think my body is extra sensitive since I haven't been drinking anything with caffeine for the last few months since I learned that it makes fibroids grow. I guess I'm just going to have to stick with decaf from now on. :/

I can assure you that they are delicious and easy to make at home. It might be difficult to find ready made tortillas or taco shells where you live, though.

I just went on the unemployment site to check my status. I still haven't received anything. They claimed that I was ineligible for the first week that I claimed because you don't get paid for the first week after your claim. I had to fill out more info. You are supposed to look for work & submit contacts to be able to get unemployment, but the governor was supposed to have suspended that requirement. I was honest & said that I didn't look for work. How can I when everything is still closed & we are still on lockdown? I submitted another claim. Now I wait to see if it is accepted or rejected. The whole process is deliberately difficult in the hopes that people will give up. It's all bullshit! >:(

They require documentation. Anyway, the governor extended the looking-for-work exemption until May 30, so I should not have been denied payment. I'm going to have to appeal the decision if I can actually contact someone. The system is so swamped that it seems unlikely. I'll be lucky if I manage to get any money from unemployment. :/

Well today at work there was a board meeting that I had to provide food & coffee to, so I got to hang out with the CEO's Executive Assistant a little bit (she's one of my favorite people at work & also an awesome lady). Then I had to provide plastic plates, utensils, & a couple of tables to the education department and then go help them out with the pizza party that they had for about 100 students. Afterward, there were 2 whole pizzas left, so the Director of the department said I could take one for my department. She also thanked me for helping them (she's another one of my favorite people as she's very nice). At the time, the CEO's Ex Asst was also with her. I told them that helping them was much better than the alternative (working for my bosses) which they thought was hilarious since they know how difficult my bosses can be. ;P
Then after all that, I had to set up 3 bars for an event tonight. I was really tired after a long day & just wanted to leave as soon as my shift was over at 4pm. Big boss had asked me if I could stay to help out but I said NO!!! I already worked 9 hours today & I'm scheduled for 11 hours tomorrow & 11.5 hours on Saturday. I don't want to overdo it. :/

Well this morning I had another scare with the urinary retention. I woke up at 3:30am feeling the need to pee but it didn't want to come out. Luckily for me, my bladder wasn't too full yet & I managed to get some out after a couple of tries, but I was still unable to empty it fully. I figured I'd have to go to the ER again, so I went to take a shower. I guess since I was standing up and not putting pressure on my bladder combined with the hot water relaxing me somewhat, I was finally able to go & emptied fully. I could feel that something wasn't quite right last night, so I wasn't too surprised. I ordered some catheters just in case this keeps happening & I'm anxious for them to get here so I don't have to keep running up ER bills. :/

They're cheap and if it doesn't work you can still call the ER. Maybe you should practice with a catheter first so you know what to expect if you really need one.

It's fairly straightforward. Just locate the pee hole & shove it in about 2 inches or until pee starts coming out. Of course it's easier when someone else does it. ;P
Well I didn't have any problems going this morning aside from it being slow to start. I managed to sleep 5 hours before having to get up to pee. Afterwards I went back to bed for another 3.5 hours. I was sure to monitor how much I was drinking yesterday and to stop drinking anything after 8pm.
In other news, last night the wife of my ex-boss's daughter was at the wedding working for the caterer. She didn't recognize me at first, so I said hello to her & asked if she remembered me. I thought it strange that she would be working as a waitress. Eventually she told me that she was getting divorced and that it was a nasty one & that she was kicked out of the house & lost her job working for soon-to-be-ex wife. Then she burst out crying & I gave her a hug to try to console her, then everything got really awkward after that. She always used to do what felt to me like flirting with me years ago whenever she & soon-to-be ex were having relationship problems and it made me uncomfortable. It felt kinda the same last night. I felt bad for her but I don't want to be involved in that drama. I prefer to leave people from the past in the past.

::shudders:: D: Who knows? Maybe? I'm not into that. And she hasn't exactly aged very well. I felt kinda bad about thinking that, like I was being really shallow, but it was kinda shocking. The way she aged around her eyes with big bags under them was just bizarre looking.
The worst part of the whole situation is they have 2 kids together (1 each from same sperm donor). Nasty divorces always affect the kids negatively.

Not that I know of, except for Halloween. My department isn't too strict about us wearing t-shirts while we set up before events as long as they don't have anything offensive on them. In other news, even though I went to bed at 10pm last night, I couldn't fall asleep to save my life. I ended up tossing & turning all night, then got up 2 or 3 times to pee. I think I managed to fall asleep about 30 or 45 minutes before my alarm was set to go off. Needless to say, I felt like crap all day. Now that I'm home, I still feel like crap since I'm trying to stay up so that I go to bed at a normal time. At least I don't have to go to work until 4pm tomorrow.

I nodded of a little after 8pm while watching TV. Then I felt the need to pee which woke me up. When I went to the bathroom, it didn't want to come out immediately, but then it started coming out as a trickle. I did manage to get it all out. During the night I was kinda aware of some pinching sensations in my abdomen, but I pretty much slept like a log until a little after 5am when QoH started banging on my door because she couldn't get her TV to work. (She somehow manages to get it off channel 3 which is the channel that it has to be on for the satellite receiver.) Anyway, I fixed it, then went to pee again which came out more normally. I went back to bed and slept until 9am. So I ended up getting about 12 hours total. When I went to the bathroom after I got up at 9am, it was back to normal. :)

Nothing since it's an old analog TV. Since the government switched to broadcasting in full digital over 10 years ago, it doesn't pick up any channels over the air. If she wants to see something on an over the air channel, I have to hook up a converter box. All of that is way to complicated for her to manage, so I don't bother with it.
I have a big flat screen digital TV in my room, but the coaxial thingy in the back where you would normally hook up the cable or antenna started malfunctioning a few years ago, so I have stuff hooked up via the other inputs on the TV. :/
Well this weekend I have been working the Diego & Drew Say I Do show. It's like a fake gay wedding that people come to as if they are a wedding guest. We set the tables with water & champagne, serve them a buffet dinner, then have to clear the dishes from the tables, then serve wedding cake. It's really exhausting. I'm glad that today is the last show. I only had to work 3 days of it out of a 2 week run. I don't know how my other coworkers are managing to do it. It's one of the things main things that I hated about regular catering (that I usually don't do at this current job). I hate doing waiter work. :/

I told her that White Claws are a frat girl drink. It's true! The place near work where we went a couple of times is a FSU bar (partial to the Florida State University Seminoles teams) and the majority of the clientele is young college grads who most likely belonged to fraternities & sororities. They always advertise specials for buckets of beers & White Claws which they all go crazy for. Roxy likes White Claws & took the joke personally.

It turned out to be fairly easy. We had to go with the rain plan, so that moved the cocktail hour into the lobby of the main theater, so they used the existing bars which meant that everything was already there & we did not have to stock any bars. The only thing that we had to do was set up the 4 bars in the ballroom for the after party. That wasn't difficult. The worst part was having to be there for 13 hours. I'm exhausted and it's waaaay past my bedtime as it's almost 2am now. :/

Anyway, I had bought *2* 1 pound packages of asparagus about 2 weeks ago because QoH said that she wanted to make asparagus soup. Of course, she is too lazy to get off her ass and do it herself, so she has been waiting for me to do it. I was shocked that they were still any good after that long. The first package was perfect so I made a batch of soup which turned out really good, so then QoH wanted me to make more. The second package had about half of the asparagus tops that were getting funky, so I just discarded them. I tweaked the recipe a little, so the second batch tasted better IMO. :)
And I had ordered 2 more bottles of the Fibro Defense pills that I have been taking. To my surprise, they were delivered 2 days after I had ordered them. It turned out that the company I used is affiliated with Amazon, so that's how it was delivered so quickly. :)

The original recipe called for 1 tablespoon of lemon juice which was a little too much IMO. For the second batch I used not quite 3/4 tablespoon. Also, I didn't follow the recipe exactly as it was written. I used more vegetable stock and less milk than what the recipe said. ;)

In other lady parts related news, Ma Nature has arrived today! And it's probably the first time that I'm happy about it because it started with pinkish blood! (A sign that my estrogen is low) Which is good news! And more proof that the pills that I have been taking are working! Woohoo! I just wish Roxy had known about the pills 10 years ago so she wouldn't have had to endure all her surgeries & hysterectomy. :/

Yes! Fibroids grow because of an excess of estrogen. Women go into a phase of estrogen dominance after 40. All the chemicals & hormones (xenoestrogens) in food make it worse. Obviously these pills help to lower the estrogen & the fibroids shrink when there is low estrogen. I could actually feel a pinching sensation when they were shrinking.
So far, my period has been relatively normal. I only had 3 tiny clots instead of the numerous huge ones that I had been having. Also it has been normal bright red blood. :)

From what I've read, it's something like that. Fibroids can make a larger surface area of the uterus & increases bleeding, plus they can interfere with the uterus contracting, so the blood stays in longer & congeals. It's not dangerous, just annoying. Hopefully in a few months of taking the pills, everything will get back to normal.

Yep! It wasn't actual tickets, but a "location pass" for a couple of seats on the back row. They weren't bad seats since it's a small theater and all the seats are relatively close to the stage. At least we were almost center & unobstructed by other people. :)
The show was really good. Trixie played guitar, had a backup band, & did a comedy act complete with wardrobe changes. There were also parody spoof commercials that were really hilarious. ;D

Not bad ATM. I'm managing to save money little by little. And getting the raise this pay period makes it almost like getting paid for 2 pay periods when you factor in all the overtime that I got. :)

Yes, it is! And today I bought a pink plush blanket with llama motif. I had been eyeballing it at Aldi for a couple of weeks. Today when I was in there they had 1 left and it was marked down, so I bought it. :)
I also bought 2 corned beefs that were on sale for $2.99/pound which is about as cheap as you can get it. And by some miracle, they had some of the asparagus left that were on sale for $.99/pound(they had been sold out all week), so I bought 4 packages of those so I can make more asparagus soup. :)

Well yesterday at work I had an accident while moving one of the portable bars into the elevator in the kitchen. People keep storing crap in the elevator (which is a code violation) and the portable bar hit some of the crap when I was putting it in then bounced sideways & smashed my pinky finger between the bar & the metal door frame. It hurt so bad that I almost passed out & it made me puke. The chef saw me holding my finger with a paper towel & getting ice, so he was trying to help me. I sat down in a chair & I told him to go tell my bosses who were upstairs in the ballroom. They came down & helped me while I was almost passing out. Luckily for me, it's not broken. My knuckle got the brunt of the blow. It broke the skin a little so I was bleeding & had a big blood blister & my finger was swolen. I kept ice on it & my assistant manager Alex stayed with me & rubbed an ice pack on the back of my neck & got me a garbage can when I felt like puking. After I puked, I felt much better & the fuzzy lightheaded feeling like I was going to pass out went away. I was also very hot & sweating profusely. I guess all the adrenaline caused that. Alex was asking if I wanted ice down my bra & pants, then said that sounded kinda creepy so we started joking that she's sexuality harassing me instead of being a nurse. What's crazy is how fast my finger got better within a couple of hours. I swear it has to be the pills that I'm taking for the fibroids because they're supposed to promote cell regeneration. I was joking with my bosses about being Deadpool because by the end of the night it didn't even hurt. :)

I was pretty pissed about losing work, but my bosses texted me to say that I'm still coming in Mon, Tues, & Wed so far. And unless clients cancel catering events, I'll still be working regardless of the theater being closed. Then big boss called to say that if clients cancel, he'll make sure I still get my hours. :)

You're assuming that everyone in the US would get infected. That's highly unlikely. I think at this point it's less than a fraction of 1% who have actually gotten it. 41 people dead out of 330 million isn't a lot. More people die from accidents every day.

I have been going outside & raking leaves for the last 3 days. It's a good way to avoid being in the house with her as well as getting some sun & fresh air. The sunlight is good for vitamin D, the UV light is good for killing germs, and I'm getting some exercise. :)

Not really. I certainly don't have a tan since I work indoors & wear long sleeves & pants as a uniform. And since I was in the hospital, I haven't worked out like I used to. I'm just now getting back to normal & feeling well enough to do strenuous exercise.

That's good. Where I live (Miami Gardens) it seems like everything is business as usual. Today I had to go to the post office. It was packed like always and the traffic seemed to be as bad as usual. I have been trying to work out regularly during this ordeal. Usually I just to upper body exercises. Thursday I decided that I should do a leg day. I did 100 squats & 100 lunges (5 sets of 20 spread throughout the day). Well I should have stopped at 60 lunges, but I went ahead and did 100. Now my legs are freakin' killing me! I can barely get up & down the stairs. :/ Oh well, no pain, no gain. I'll just have to do fewer reps but more consistently when I'm able to move again. ;P

Well yes, that's because I have moneyzzz saved like before & QoH still gets her social security money every month (plus no rent to pay). Other people don't have those things going for them.
Anyhoo, our governor finally caved in to pressure & put the whole state on lock down. I'm disappointed about that. So far we only had like 22 deaths for the whole state. More people than that die every day from other things beside the effing Wuhan flu. What's really stupid is it seems like people are out & about like normal with no sign of any police or authorities doing anything about it, not that they could do so legally. It's all just quarantine theater IMO.

I'm not sure, but it seems like about 10% of people who get it need to be hospitalized, so Florida doesn't seem to be as bad as other states.

Yes, I'm sure many more people have had it without knowing. From what I've been reading, it seems that people in this country started getting sick with "a virus" that wasn't the flu since late December. I'd bet the farm that the 4 f&b managers at work who went to the trade show in San Francisco on Jan 20, brought it back with them. They were all sick & exhibiting the covid-19 symptoms (even though they all denied having it). I must be immune because I never got sick even though I was in close proximity to them while they were hacking up their lungs. It seems like I have a good immune system. I can't remember the last time I got sick with anything, and I have been around sick people at work and didn't catch anything. Unfortunately it seems like QoH's immune system is pretty good, too. :/

There is a test for antibodies that they can do. I wish they'd start doing them large-scale so the peeps who've either had it & recovered or were exposed & didn't get sick can get off of lock down & get on with life.

Anyhoo, today was leg day of my weekly exercise regimen. I didn't do as many reps as the last time when I overdid and couldn't walk for 4 days. Lol But I *did* do a couple of sets with weights and I added dumbbell dead lifts with my 20 pound weights. Hopefully I'll still be able to walk tomorrow. ;P

Well I was only a tiny bit sore in the quads & booty, but nothing compared to last time. I also threw in 150 pushups (40 regular then 130 modified) just for the hell of it. The modified I did for 3 sets (50, 40, 30) at a fast pace until muscle exhaustion. The pump I got from that felt really good. :)

No, it has never persuaded me to do her dirty work for her. It only works to piss me off & makes me not want to do anything for her. She used to say the same thing to my dad IIRC.
Anyway, I talked to my dad on the phone yesterday and told him about it. He said that she's a real asshole to try to get me to start confrontations with neighbors as that could be potentially dangerous, especially since I'm a small female & there are a lot of males who don't think much about physically attacking a woman. He's 100% right about that.

It was just cheap domestic mass-produced beer. Nothing special but better than nothing. Publix had the 18-pack on sale for $11, so that was about as cheap as I can buy it. If we ever get back to work, I look forward to being able to go to one of the local microbreweries by work to get something that's good & different. There are a couple of them that brew stouts, and I do enjoy a good stout. :)

Mostly the same thing I always do. Play old videogames, find little programming projects to work on, watch youtube videos, read the news. Plus some other minor things. My sister does the shopping for me and my parents now.

I just stay in my room & watch TV, look at YouTubes, sometimes talk to a friend from work or my dad on the phone, & work out. Occasionally I'll go outside & rake leaves & put them in the trash bin. Unfortunately the trash bin doesn't hold that much. They pick up trash twice per week, so getting the whole yard raked & tidied up has been a slow process. Then when you think one area is fine, more leaves fall. >:(

I ordered a pair of goth/punk distressed leggings for myself from Walmart dot com on Friday. When I checked the tracking, they were being sent from Orlando, so hopefully they'll arrive quickly. I also ordered 2 more bottles of the Fibro Defense pills that I've been taking for my fibroids. This time I ordered them from the manufacturer instead of the other place that I had bought them. The other place raised their price by $5 per bottle. The manufacturer is still the same price that they were selling them the last time.

Well QoH was very crazy today. She came in my room & accused me of destroying plants out in front of the house, then she started pointing her finger in my face and shoving the side of my face with it. I grabbed her wrist to make her stop then she threatened to strangle me, so I grabbed both of her wrists. She then flopped on my bed & knocked some of my clothes off on the floor. I took the opportunity to escape & went & locked myself in my bathroom. She left my room, went back to hers, then I came out of the bathroom & went back to my room & locked the door.
I'm really getting tired of her shit. I don't know how I'm going to do this stay at home bs for another month with her. >:(

Anyway, I managed to get out of the house today while she was asleep. I just went to the post office to mail a few bills, then I went to Walmart. Amazingly enough, the Walmart wasn't very busy. They had almost everything that I went for & I didn't have to wait in line at the self check. Of course QoH was up when I got back, but she didn't get nasty with me (to my surprise).

Yes. The most memorable one was a couple of years ago. She was driving her truck & I was a passenger. For whatever reason, she decided to drive around the neighborhood. We were a few streets over (on a main street) when she got confused & didn't know where she was. I was telling her what street it was, but it wasn't computing. She was totally confused like she had never been there before. I had to direct her and tell her where to turn. She was still totally lost & didn't recognize where she was even though she's lived in this neighborhood over 40 years. I think that's the real reason she doesn't drive her truck any more, but she won't admit it. I think that's the reason she concocted the story that she can't drive the truck because she claims that I put tar in the gas tank. The real reason is she's probably afraid of getting confused again while driving & not being able to find her way home. If I wasn't with her the time that happened, I'm not sure she would have known how to get home. She's too narcissistic to admit it, so she has to concoct a story to blame me instead.

Well, QoH kept asking me when she's getting her money. I had to tell her the truth & she blew up. I think I might be able to file an amended tax return & remove her as my dependant. Hopefully if I'm able to do that, then she'll be eligible to get the $1200 stimulus check as well.

Because she *is* dependant on me. She gets social security, but it's not enough to pay for everything.
Anyway, I went back on the tax website & changed things to see what the difference would be. You cannot re-file electronically. You have to print it out & send it to the IRS. *If* I re-filed, I'd have to send the government a check for $700 and I'm not going to do that. I don't care if she doesn't like it. I'm going to continue to claim her as a dependant because I get more than double the refund that I would get otherwise.

Same here, although April has been unbearably hot. Yesterday was a scorcher. My car's thermometer said it was 92 degrees, but with the humidity it felt like 100. To make matters worse, they were limiting the number of people in the stores, so everyone had to wait in line outside in the blazing sun. I had to wait about 10 minutes just to get in Walmart, then not quite that long to get in Sam's. By the time I got home, my bra & shirt were soaked with sweat. :/
If it's this hot already, I'm not looking forward to how hot it will be for the rest of the year.

Anyway, I went grocery shopping early today with the ulterior motive of going to a friend-from-work's house. I only stayed for an hour, but it was nice to be away from QoH and be with normal people for a while. One of her older twin daughters was there sunning herself by the pool. First time I met her. Also met her husband. They have a really nice back yard with lots of shrubbery and fruits & vegetables that they grow. She has 2 mango trees (like me) that the wind storm the other day blew lots of mangoes off (same at my house). She also has more pineapple plants than me. At least she has a nice screened-in patio around the pool so they can enjoy being outside without getting sucked dry by mosquitos.
Of course QoH started her bs with me as soon as I got home, accusing me of going to dykes' house. I never told her that I was going to my friend's house. She's very creepy..it's almost like she can read my mind. Then she accused me of putting white paint on her truck (it's bird shit) and stealing her glasses (which she misplaced, then found. I've been listening to lots of music videos, then shuffle dance videos (I'd like to learn how to do that, but I'm terribly uncoordinated when it comes to dancing & natural rhythm :/ ), then I was curious to see if anyone had any pole dance routines set to Marilyn Manson songs like Cry Little Sister or Birds of Hell Awaiting since I always thought they'd be good songs for pole dancing. (Roxy is always trying to get me to go to a pole dancing class with her.) Anyway, I only found 1 with a group of girls set to Cry Little Sister by Manson. The way the video was shot was very distracting. The person shooting it was walking around & not focusing on any 1 girl. Then with all of them moving around with differing levels of skill, it just wasn't very good. I *did* find a couple of excellent ones, though. This one girl named Jordan Kensley had an impressive routine set to I Don't Like The Drugs. You should definitely look that one up. ;D Then there was a belly dancer doing a routine to Cry Little Sister that was pretty good. That was by The Stygian Collective if you want to look for it.

Yes, and it sucks. I have a lingering injury with my right shoulder, then just being less flexible than I used to be. Of course, I could probably alleviate some of that with stretching exercises & yoga, but I don't have any place in the house to be able to do that properly because QoH has it hoarded up with crap & there's no room.

Today when I got the mail & brought it inside, she asked what came. 2 letters were for me. She insisted that I give them to her so she could open them & look at them. I refused since letters addressed to me are none of her business. Then she tried to grab them out of my hand. I turned away from her & held them away from her. She had me cornered & wouldn't let me get by her. Then she started saying if I knocked her down that she would kill me after she got back up. Yes. It's about 10ft x 10ft. With the full-size bed, 2 dressers, & wall unit there's not much floor space left over. I usually just do my abs exercises on my bed.

I can't remember the last time anyone was able to sit on furniture in this house. Definitely more than 11 years ago. She has so much crammed into the living room that you can't even walk in there. And the sofa & chairs are piled up with boxes of crap. :/ BTW, the living room was always "for show" when I was a kid. QoH had very uncomfortable antique furniture in there & no one was allowed to go in there to "mess it up". It was only for guests, which was a kinda rare occasion.

I think as kids we're hardwired to trust our parents. As you get older & start questioning things, then the brainwashing intensifies. I think by the time I was a teen I knew she was mental, but I was conditioned to accept that that's how she is & I was resigned to my fate. Then in my 20's & 30's when I was around people who called bullshit on QoH's behavior, it gave me the validation & encouragement to defy her more & more. Since she can't control me now like she used to, now I'm 100% evil to her now. ;P

Most of clutter that's piled up on everything is old junk mail, previously paid bills, and notebooks that she obsessively writes notes into while she watches TV. She has hundreds of those. :/
All the excess furniture will be easy to sell or donate. Same with most of her clothes. All the power tools & catering equipment I will probably keep. I'd just need to move it to someplace more appropriate for storage like the carport (which I'd like to close in & make a proper garage so that the space can be made usable).

One of her main tactics was to put other people down & make herself out to be superior. She was always very controlling & almost never let me do the things that other kids were allowed to do. She'd act like the other kids' parents were crap parents for being permissive or "letting their kids run wild" and she was a better parent because she always knew what I was doing, or that she was keeping me from unsafe things.
When I was growing up the phrases I always heard were 'we can't afford it' implying that other parents just wasted money on frivolous things for their kids, or 'it's too dangerous' & 'you'll get hurt' if I wanted to play a team sport. (The team sports thing actually got both excuses! Lol)

Little league sports, team sports at school, & any extracurricular activities that cost money or required her to be inconvenienced in any way. I was also not allowed to get my driver's license at the age of 16 like the rest of my peers because she claimed that her insurance costs would go up if I did so. She always acted like they'd be raised by some obscene amount. I doubt that it would have been very much. I think it was more of a control thing since having a driver's license represents freedom & independence.

Well, in other news, I think if I actually qualify for unemployment (which I should) then I'm also supposed to be getting an additional amount from the federal government from one of the emergency stimulus acts. If that's true, I'll be getting more money to stay unemployed than if I went back to work. It works out at a good time since the summer is usually very slow at my work. I guess I have no choice but to wait & see.

They should, but unfortunately the management at work is salaried, so they get paid the same regardless of how busy or not busy we are. Most of them take the opportunity to go on month-long (or more) vacations during the summer. The executive management is the worst. They somehow don't care that the food & beverage department is the only dept. that makes a profit. That's the problem with people whose employment isn't based on being like a real business since we're partly non-profit, rely on donations, & have government funding. If we were like a regular business that relied on being profitable to remain open, they'd be a lot more concerned with chasing those customer dollars.

True. When I worked for the country club, they were busy during the summer, especially June, which is a popular month for weddings.

Omg, don't get me started! First of all, they arrived a few days late. I was following the tracking which never updated from the time it was allegedly shipped until after the due date when they classified it as delayed. I'm assuming it was a problem with the effing post office. There's no way that it takes over 2 weeks for a package shipped from Orlando to get here!!! Orlando is about 3.5 hours drive from here. When it finally arrived, it looked *nothing* like the pic. It wasn't patchwork or distressed, it's more like bathing suit material. The knee patches weren't fishnet like the pic showed, but a thin mesh material. The bondage straps around the one leg were not the ripped gauzy-looking material, but cheap grosgrain ribbons. Needless to say I was pissed! Definitely not worth the $19 I paid! The only thing I liked was what was printed on one of the legs: "I don't care what anyone thinks of me. I already have better things to do than make someone else like me." I was going to return it, but the store isn't doing returns thanks to the effing coronavirus. After I got over being angry, I tried them on. They fit good, so I figured I'd keep them. I can probably fix them up to make them look better. I got an email from Walmart today asking me to post a review. I will definitely be giving them a scathing one. >:(

More actually. That's the problem with it being a county-owned property. It's technically a government job for the management. They get paid more than the private sector & have job security because it's government. They don't have to be profitable to stay in business because they get tax dollars & donations to keep them open.

Not really. I went up to the Aldi in Cooper City (just a couple of miles north of where I normally shop) and bought some strawberries & blueberries that were on sale. It was a nicer store than the Aldi in Hollywood that I went to last time, but not as nice as the Aldi that I go to in Dania (which is along the way home from work). At least I have another option for shopping.

Yesterday I cut up the ginormous watermelon that I bought on Thursday. It was a Florida one. I've had mixed luck with the Florida ones, but this one was sweet & delicious. The bad part is that I tend to eat too much, then I end up having to pee every hour or two since watermelon is about 92% water & a diuretic. Today I limited my watermelon consumption to earlier today so that I won't have to get up a couple times during the night to pee like what happened last night. :/
I also made the mistake of making a pot of regular coffee yesterday. I had 2 mugs full. That also contributed to me having to pee so much. Coffee is also a diuretic. And I think my body is extra sensitive since I haven't been drinking anything with caffeine for the last few months since I learned that it makes fibroids grow. I guess I'm just going to have to stick with decaf from now on. :/

I just went on the unemployment site to check my status. I still haven't received anything. They claimed that I was ineligible for the first week that I claimed because you don't get paid for the first week after your claim. I had to fill out more info. You are supposed to look for work & submit contacts to be able to get unemployment, but the governor was supposed to have suspended that requirement. I was honest & said that I didn't look for work. How can I when everything is still closed & we are still on lockdown? I submitted another claim. Now I wait to see if it is accepted or rejected. The whole process is deliberately difficult in the hopes that people will give up. It's all bullshit! >:(

They require documentation. Anyway, the governor extended the looking-for-work exemption until May 30, so I should not have been denied payment. I'm going to have to appeal the decision if I can actually contact someone. The system is so swamped that it seems unlikely. I'll be lucky if I manage to get any money from unemployment. :/

I texted my assistant manager today. She said that she was told that they would be getting back in the second week of June, but that no one has contacted her recently with any updates. If we do get back in June, that won't be so bad. I really don't want to have to look for another job since I like the one that I have and just got a raise before this nonsense started.

Probably a lot. Rent down here is very expensive and usually the largest expense for most people. I'm glad the house I live in is paid for.
