I like this

Ah, so good of other peeps on the intertoobs to be just as obsessive as me when it comes to OUAT and the fabulous outfits that they have for Regina!  That way, they can do all the work of putting the pics on their sites and then I can come along and shamelessly nick them!

So here is that awesome ensemble which I totally loved that Regina was wearing somewhat toward the beginning of episode 3.02 .  I wasn't sure what this outfit was when I fist saw it, but someone somewhere said that it was some sort of sleeping attire.  Fabulous!  It's good to be Queen!

Sigh...just chillin' here with my apples and looking fabulous. So boring now that Snow is under the sleeping curse and packed away in her glass coffin.

Next pic, you can see the awesome-looking sleeves which first caught my attention.  I love that look.  And we can see that the robe is cinched in at the waist to show off one's figure.  The Magic Mirror is awesome as well.  It has the look of one of Dale Chihuly's glass sculptures--very organic and tentacle-like.

My Queen!  The sleeping curse has been broken!

Now we see the business end.  Note the heavy jeweling/beading on the bustier. (Click to...erm..embiggenify! LOL)  I can tell you from experience that something that heavily jeweled/beaded is indeed HEAVY.  Looks fabulous, though.  I love the ruffle embellishments on the lapels and sleeves, too.  This is one helluva sleeping attire ensemble.  I wonder who she was...*entertaining* the night before?

WTF?!?

Anyway, the robe portion is what I'd like to have.  The bustier/corset is fabulous, but I don't think I could wear it many places.  ;P  It's too bad they never showed a full length shot of this outfit.  I'd like to have seen how long it was. Probably mid-calf to ankle length if I had to guess.  Hmmm...on closer inspection, the bustier/corset thingy might not be that at all.  It could be a very ornate nighty from the look of it.

**pics shamelessly ganked from the evilqueensclothes tumbler who in turn ganked them from another tumbler page  ;D

Yes, it's very nice looking. Less boobage than I expected though. But I'm not complaining. :)

That's because she was wearing clown shoes underneath (I heard). ;P

Yeah, the lack of boobage made me wonder. Upon closer inspection it looks more like a very fancy nighty and not a corset. A corset would make more boobage. ;P

Nah, more like fuzzy bunny slippers. But knowing the Queen, they're probably made from real fuzzy bunnies! :O

Well, I watched the first episodes of OUAT of this new season. Actually, I only watched the second episode because I HAD FORGOTTEN IT WOULD BE BROADCAST THAT EVENING. :O :(

Anyway, yeah, looks like an interesting start of the season.

Also, I decided to get my flu shot after all. I am currently undergoing the consequences (like forgetting about OUAT, it's the only satisfying explanation :).

So, had a nice day?

The OUAT spinoff OUAT In Wonderland starts here tonight at 8pm. I have the timer set on the satellite so I won't forget. It looks both good and different. American Horror Story: Coven premiered last night. It was meh but the cast is good--many of the previous AHS alumni + Kathy Bates and the fat girl from Precious. I hope it will get better.

So, had a nice day?

Boring so far. You haz a mail, though. :)

Apparently featuring a "badass" Alice.

Message received, appreciated and reciprocated. :)

Yes, the scene in the loony bin where she went full MMA/Bruce Lee on the guards was most satisfying. ;D I was like, "Holy shit! She's totally kicking their asses!"

It seems like it will have a good story to it, but the CGI and special effects are a bit lacking in some areas just like with OUAT. I'm willing to overlook that as long as the story is good/interesting(like with Doctor Who).

In other news, I'm going to have to stop staying up late looking at the PD forum *and* posting at the OUAT fansite forum because I just get all triggered and worked up and then can't sleep and end up wrestling my inner demons until nearly 6am and then waking up at 9-fiddy. :(

I really should have just wrote it all out in a post like I was feeling like I should have, but I was trying desperately to just fall asleep. Now, I'm awake but don't have what it takes to do a post. :/

Yeah, commenting on internet fora right before I go to bed usually results in me laying awake for too long, thinking about stuff I could have said or should be saying.

Now, I'm awake but don't have what it takes to do a post. :/

That's understandable. Just take it easy. Give yourself whatever you need. :)

I generally don't like to argue with anonymous people on forums especially about fictional characters. Why did this one do this? Or they should have done or said that...it's pointless BECAUSE IT'S A FICTIONAL CHARACTER and they do or say whatever the writers put in the script!

Anyway, as regards to OUAT, they do kinda nail it with the relationship between Regina and her mother. It's a classic case of a NPD mother relationship with her daughter. And the similarities between them and me and my own mother are scary on so many levels(you'll see the horror unfold in season 2).

It's just so irritating when people are critical of Regina when they have absolutely NO CLUE what it's like to grow up like that. I want to defend it but it's kinda pointless as most of the commenters over there are young and clueless and it's like casting pearls before swine. Only peeps at the PD forum who are ACONs can comprehend it.

It just got me to thinking about all the similarities between that fictional character and my own life. I could do a checklist of all the things which are the same. It bums me out.

That's understandable. Just take it easy.

I'd like to do a post but it'll likely get rambling and incoherent and there will be spoilers for you. ;P

Anyway, you're lucky that they do 2 episodes of OUAT when it's on where you're at. You'll soon get to see the Cora(Regina's mom)bits so you'll know what I'm talking about. Brrrr

Really? I saw Regina magically push her mother through a magic mirror that burst. Cora does reappear in that episode though but nowhere near Regina. Oh well, next week.

Got any plans for the weekend?

Really?

You'll see more of her in flashbacks and back-stories + she reappears back in FTL in real time(she's BAAAAA-aaaack!!!). :O You'll see. It's like they used my mother as the model for Cora.
:O :O :O

Got any plans for the weekend?

Well, in spite of me only getting about 3.5 - 4 hours of sleep, I managed to get 3 sets of sheets washed and dried and my comforter, too.

I plan to watch some MMA fights tonight on the TV.

One bit of good fortune for me--the bulk trash people came today and picked up the small amount of branches I cut down from the avocado tree, so I won't have the old woman nagging me to cut the mango tree before they come to pick up! ;)

And it is finally feeling like autumn here! (Well, autumn for Florida--that means sunny and around 86F instead of 90-92F and the humidity is much lower.) Today was an absolutely beautiful day. :)

And how are you feeling? Flu shot residuals clear up yet? Any babysitting for the weekend? How's the weather over there?

Sounds like a song lyric.

Got an old woman nagging meeeeeee...
To cut the mango treeee.....

I cut down the avocado treeeeee...
Now she's still nagging meee...

(In a Jamaican accent :)

Flu shot residuals clear up yet?

I guess. My right ear still hurts from before. If it's not better by Monday I'm calling the doc.

Any babysitting for the weekend?

Not at present. The kids have Autumn vacation BTW.

How's the weather over there?

Cold and wet. Typical Dutch Autumn. :(

Where I live has more than its fair share of Jamaicans, so that would be fitting. ;P

You'll probably get some drops like they give for swimmer's ear. An Ayurveda remedy would be some warm oil in the ear, but I don't recall which oil, probably sesame, but you don't like all those natural potions and crap. ;P ;D

How bad is it? Actually, that's not a good question, any ear problem is a bitch. The worst I ever had was getting a tray of Cokes spilled on me and the Coke going in my ear. The irritation and pain a few days later was enough to drive me mad and I ended up going to the ER walk-in clinic. :O

Anyway, hope you get that taken care of soon. :)

We're on warm and dry ATM. Hopefully, in a bit it will get to less warm and dry. ;P

Hey, did you ever see this movie called Mean Creek? It was good but disturbing.

The ABC/Disney channels have been doing fairy tale and princess movies lately. I watched Tangled for the first time the other night. It was pretty good. I'm watching Ever After: A Cinderella Story ATM even though I've seen it a few times before(nothing better on).

I wish I had a job. Not having one is getting old. :( Too bad no one needs someone good at making chain mail. :/

some warm oil in the ear

Last time my ear hurt (over a decade ago), my doctor told me to do just that. It made the pain worse but it softened up the stuff that was clogging my ears. After a week he use a water spout thingy to clean my ears and soooo much crap came out of it (well, more than I expected, anyway).

It seems to hurts less now. IDK.

Hopefully, in a bit it will get to less warm and dry. ;P

I just hope Winter starts soon this year. At least when it snows the water is dry. ;P

No, not yet.

I wish I had a job.

I wish you had one too. :)

You're probably kidding but there are websites that sell chain mail.

When I was a very small child, I had that procedure done at the doc with the water thingy. Lots of crap came out of mine, too. Quite gross. I have never had that problem since. I keep my ears cleaned out quite regularly with ye olde cotton swabs(even though you aren't supposed to use them in your ears, wink, wink, nudge, nudge). Which reminds me, have you ever heard of an ear-gasm?

It seems to hurts less now. IDK.

That's good. Are you still going to see the doc?

You're probably kidding but there are websites that sell chain mail.

I was just thinking of the tedium involved in beading a dress and how it's just as tedious as making chain mail. Those poor bastards who do beading are usually in China or India and don't make much money. I'm good at making mail. I know there are sites that sell it but it's expensive to buy and how much of a demand is there?(Unless Peter Jackson is doing a movie ;P )
Sigh, point being I'd like to get paid to do something creative even if it's tedious. :/
