Who is sassier?
Is Real Life Arekino sassier? Or is Dream Land Arekino sassier?
Real life Arekino smashes eggs and vexes Vogons, but Dream Land Arekino does things that make me blush in wakey-wakey land. Last night, I asked Dream Land Arekino if they had any of those theaters that had the love seats where he lives and he said that 'Yes, it's called my living room.' O.o It's funny that dream land me was thinking that those ones in the theaters are probably scuzzy and crawling with all sorts or icky germs. Arekino's sofa would likely be much safer...but for whom? ;D
Later on, Dream Land Arekino got very feisty and surprised me with some sneak attack wrestling. I didn't mind at all, as I'm always game for some wrestling. ;P He put me on my back but I went "mission control" and tried to work an arm bar. Just because I'm on my back does not mean I'm not in control FWI and thank you very much! ;P Too bad I woke up before seeing where all *that* was going to go. Maybe someone got saved from Xul going evil and doing a gogo plata. >:-D>
So that's twice this week that Real Life Arekino has planted his subliminal juju in my brain to make Dream Land Arekino visit me. ;D
Anyway, completely unrelated...I was watching a story on the news about some place that has classes for parents and kids to teach them how to do cake/cupcake/cookie decorating. They mentioned something about 'being a pastry chef requires precision' and that got my attention as I am very much a precise detail oriented person when it comes to things which require artistry. I think I would probably make a good pastry chef. I know I make excellent crepes and the birthday cake that I made myself the other night was absolutely delicious(surprisingly, as it was the first time I made a cake entirely from scratch). If it wasn't for the fact that I was trying to do it without QoH finding out, it would have turned out much better if I had the time to do it without anyone interfering.
I just might have to look into whether one of the local schools offers a pastry chef course. :)

Which is good, in general. Unfortunately there are usually all sorts of constraints to consider, time, money, etc. when you're in the pastry business. That may take a lot of the fun out of that job but I suppose not out of the hobby.

I haven't formally practiced with anyone for well over 20 years. I *do* watch MMA most Fridays, but there hasn't been any on TV for a while. The last physically sassy peeps I ever dealt with were Diane and Regina from work. D was the cool Quebecois and R was the feisty Brazilian. Both could be counted on to sneak up on me and put me in a bear hug or play boxing.

BTW, you didn't answer my question...do you have any of those fancy theaters where you live? Like IIRC the Regal Palace where they have it built like an Egyptian Pharaoh's pad and they have specialty seating(arena seating, love seats, recliners, etc)? I did a bit of pruning in the back yard for an hour and a half. All that climbing up and down the ladder in the heat took it out of me. I was surprised that QoH left me alone for that long. Usually she can't stand to leave me alone for more than 10 minutes before she has to come yack-yack-yack me to death.
Just as I was bringing in my equipment, she was coming out to annoy me. I told her I needed to rest for a while, but then not even 2 minutes later she's calling me back out to kill a grasshopper, pull weeds, etc. I told her I NEED TO GO INSIDE NOW FOR A BREAK. CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND I'M READY TO PASS OUT? And then I came inside.
Heavy sigh.
Anyhoo, I'm sure that the finale of OUAT is going to piss me off. We go through all this character growth over 3 seasons and now we're going to do some time travel nonsense which will likely retcon the whole damn thing and we'll all be back to square one. This show is starting to annoy me. The first part of season 3 with the whole Neverland thing I did not like, but then the second half was mostly good, now this crap.
Oh well, I'll have to watch and see. I'm sure QoH will be bothering me for the full 2 hours. :/

Not much. It was Mother's Day yesterday so my sister and her family came to visit. I'll be babysitting them kids Saturday as the their parents and my parents will be going to a festivity.

Same here. We celebrated with as much festivity as my B-day--none. I said 'Happy Mother's Day' and left it at that. I *did* look at cards while in Walmart, but QoH gets pissed if I spend more than $1...well, she gets pissed if I buy one at all...and the only one suitable I had given her that particular one before, so I just skipped it altogether.

Well, last night's season finale of OUAT...
It had the pacing of a Jane Espenson episode, and it wasn't that bad, or so I was thinking. It kinda played like a series finale(I think they did it that way just in case the series wasn't renewed for a 4th season) if they had just left out the final two minutes. Damn those final two minutes! ::shakes fist::
Everything could have been cool, but no! They had to fuck over Regina in the last damn two minutes! Damn that woman cannot catch a break. I am really, really, pissed at that. Now ALL that character growth and redemption is down the drain, all because Emma is such an idiot. (Yeah, she kinda can't help genetics being the product of two idiots. ;P) I thought Emma was idiotic the *last* episode, but sh really put those Charming genes to use this time. OY!
Although, this way, Regina has a chance at something better, although she will not be looking at it that way right now.
And then, the new Big Bad I had absolutely no idea who it was. Some blonde chick in a blue gown, but they only showed the back of her. At least I found out from the peeps bitching on the tv.com forum that it is someone called Elsa from the Frozen movie, so the Snow Queen? I'd be okay with that if it was the original Snow Queen, because I always hoped they'd have her for a character, but this one I have no clue about as I'm not much for keeping up with Disney movies. It just seems like a crass marketing thing. :/

It's definitely Frozen. They sent out a poster/tweet of "Frozen is coming" so totally confirmed. I haven't seen the movie so I have no clue what it's about, I just know a little from others have said. I guess I'll have to look it up on IMDB.

Nothing is planned. QoH has been cancelling her acupuncture apts for the last 3 weeks and will be continuing to do so. Her paranoia is getting *really* old and tiring for me. She insists that the new doc deliberately injured her back to make her worse in an attempt to "finish her off". ::groan::
I have been in the room for all of her sessions. QoH has been complaining that the doc pressed down on her back "with all her might" to deliberately injure her. Well, the doc asked QoH to tell her where the pain was, and every time the doc pressed a place, QoH just lay there like the cat had her tongue, so the doc would press and ask "Here?" and QoH would give no response, so the doc would press harder and then QoH finally let out an exaggerated cry of pain.
Now QoH has been bitching for the last several weeks that the doc should know not to press on her back. Well, she has a mouth, doesn't she? I mean, she doesn't hesitate to use it with me. She could have asked her to not press on her back.
I just find it all odd. It seemed like this doc's approach was helping after the first 2 sessions, then QoH twisted the wrong way or something at home and then started blaming the doc for something "slipping". Well, if something "slipped" it happened at home, not at the doc's. But now she is blaming the doc 100% and it's all a conspiracy because the doc is a communist and works for the govt and is mandated to kill her patients etc. It's all just so crazy-making and I'm tired of hearing all the conspiracy nonsense.

I can't play those pieces on a keyboard. I made them using some crappy midi software that offers a GUI where you can painstakingly enter one note after the other on a stave. Do you have a favourite?

Yep. I'm very familiar with that one, as I have the original around here somewhere. I've also seen some pretty good movie adaptations. Unfortunately, I think they are doing Elsa from Frozen. :/

On a side not, something Disney related that *does not* look like it's gonna suck is Maleficent is in theaters on May 30! It has Angelina Jolie in the starring role and from the trailer it looks really good. Too bad you live where you do or you could take me to see that as a belated B-day gift. ;P
BTW, you know how I can get all obsessive until I get answers? Well, I nosed around Lana P's twitter feed last night and noticed a re-tweet of one of the creator-douchebags saying on May 8 that OUAT was picked up for a 4th season. That's like 3 days before the finale. So I think I'm right as they thought it might not get a 4th season and that's why it looked like a series finale until the last two minutes. I think they probably had 2 versions made and that one with the horrific ending got aired at the last minute once they knew there would be a 4th season.
