After 11 hours of what feels like being mentally and emotionally raped by QoH, I have the urge to do some midnight gardening. I'd really like to plant that 5 foot tall 200 pound shrub out in the back garden. I really feel like doing that, but I won't. I guess I'll elaborate more in comments. I'm just too exhausted at the moment and I have that thing tomorrow. So I'll have plenty to talk about when I get back. :/

Is it going to be cold long enough for them to freeze hard enough for ice skating?
Some daring people have already been skating on some very thin ice. But for us normal folks it's a little too early for that.
do you have any ice skating rinks near you? What about roller skating? Was that ever a thing where you live?
Yes, there is one that I know of. Yes, same place. Not in my town AFAIK. We always just skated on natural ice.

Okay, I am back and a bit tired. The thing wasn't as involved as the last one. The guy running the show this time had a reasonable menu and was very organized, albeit a bit of a micro-manager. That was okay, though. Took a lot of the thinking part out of it for me. I just had to make up gefilte fish appetizers, cut the apple crumb cake, and make sure the Cokes and waters were on each table, then make sure the food got on the buffet on time. (There were around 85 peeps this time.)
Everything went well and I'm sure there will be future events.
Anyway, the QoH thing...
On Monday, I took her to her appt as usual. When she got there and went to sign in, the girl at reception told her that her regular doc would no longer be at that location, and there was a lady doc taking over. So QoH refused to see the lady and we left.
She is getting more and more ridiculous with the conspiracy crap as she gets older. She claims that the new doc doesn't know anything and isn't a real doc(How would she know? She refused to see the new one.). Then she starts with the 'they are singling me out because X,Y,Z'. And the 'they just don't want me to get treatment because I'm old'(all the patients are old) and 'they are going to try to prevent me from seeing Dr. A(endocrine doc).
All kinds of jumping to conclusions and nonsense followed. The logical conclusion is that they have a lot of peeps wanting to get acupuncture so they hired another doc. Also, the other guy that QoH had been seeing lives closer to the 2 locations were they have him now. But this is QoH, so there is no logic or reason.
She was all in a huff and refusing to see the lady acupuncturist and threatening to call and cancel her appts and get new appts for the other guy at the other location. But did she follow through? Fuck no! She has been driving me nuts with it going on and on ad nauseum all week until Thursday when she had planned to call, then she waits around to the very last fucking minute just before the office closed and surprise, surprise! The girl who does the scheduling was busy with another patient and when QoH called back, the voice mail was on! (Yeah, they were avoiding her LOL) So all the drama all week, and it being ratcheted up to the Nth degree Thursday just had me ready to go psychotic. :(
BTW, are you planning to do any skating should the ponds freeze thick enough?

BTW, I managed to burn a 4 cm long part of my forearm taking something out of the oven last night. :/ Sucks mightily. At least they had a first aid kit with burn cream in it in the kitchen. I used a whole packet. It doesn't hurt right now. It didn't blister but it looks awful. I'll just have to keep slathering it with ointment and hope it doesn't scar.
How do you feel about it all?
I would be pleased as punch if I could continue getting stuff from this same group. They are a pretty nice bunch of old peeps.

Seriously. It really looks like that except the line is thicker. The inside of my forearm touched the edge of the rack in the oven. Of course there just *had* to be a gap between the oven mitt and my shirt. It is a nasty reddish-brown color now. It didn't blister, so that's good, but I'll likely be sporting that ugly mark for a few weeks. :/

I had to go to the doctor today. My left shoulder still hurts somewhat and now the other shoulder hurts as well. It's getting annoying. The meds I got last time helped but didn't cure me. Now I got the same meds again. It's not like it's really painful but it is definitely annoying. How's your eye doing?

Not very. It's just that the personality traits part can be uncannily accurate. One time QoH and I had to go purchase some stuff for a client who wanted to do a Chinese themed party. This took us to the warehouse district near the airport. We stumbled upon this awesome Chinese import place that had the coolest looking stuff I've ever seen. It was like walking into the Ming Dynasty or something. The sales guy was this old Chinese dude who was a real wizard when it came to making sales and deals(kinda like a Chinese Rumpelstiltskin except not evil). At one point, he started telling all about the Chinese zodiac signs and who I'd be most compatible with and all sorts of things. I thought he was off his rocker but I was pleased to learn that I was a Dragon. :) Now, looking back on some of the stuff he told me, it seems to be creepily accurate. :O

It hasn't been bothering me for over a week. I think the dry air had something to do with it acting up.
