Half-assed OUAT 3.05 + Halloween Post

Seems the writers are at it again with stealing elements from my fanfic.  In my version, my Dutchman character has a ship that can fly, a magic sextant, and there's a magical spring of water with restorative properties.  So all three of those things were in last night's episode.  I would like my check now, please.  >:(

I'm getting a bit tired of five of the main characters wandering around in Neverland.  It's getting boring to me.  There were a couple of good moments with Regina-snark, though.  I liked the scene where Snow and Charming were snogging hard and Regina was all like, "Ugh!!! Blech!!!" and had the greatest look of revulsion on her face.  Then Emma was grossed out and Regina was like, "What I wouldn't *give* for another sleeping curse!"  LOL  I think she just might have used it on herself.  LOL  We also found out another way that Regina is like me--she doesn't *DO* rum!  Yep, flat out refused.  That's my girl!  LOL

Anyway, as tomorrow is Halloween, I did some searches to see if anyone had done any good OUAT pumpkin carvings.  I did manage to find a pattern for Regina:

It's just okay. If I had a pumpkin and was actually doing anything for Halloween, I would turn this pic

into a most excellent pumpkin carving.  Ever since I tweaked the contrast on that pic, it makes it easier to do an outline for a pattern.  Being an artist and one who is very good at sculpting, I'd turn that pic into a killer carving!  Then I'd put a pic of it on the toobs and be getting accolades from all over.  Then maybe someone would like to hire me to do it professionally!

Anyway, since it's  Halloween, here are some other carvings that I liked:

I doubt that it's possible to prove plagiarism in this case. I don't know when (or where) you publish your fan-fic but the scripts for the episodes have probably been written a rather long while ago. So, great minds think alike, I guess? :)

If I had a pumpkin

Why don't you have a pumpkin? I mean, are they that expensive? It's not a waste of money if you eat it. Make pumpkin soup. :)

Hey, could you grow pumpkins yourself? In your backyard maybe?

Yeah, I'm just being snarky. It irritates me that peeps are making millions of dollars for basically the same ideas that I have. 'Cuz, you know, artists starve 'n stuff. :::rolls eyes:::

Why don't you have a pumpkin?

None of the stores put them on mark-down. They were all in the $5 - $7 range. The jack-o-lantern pumpkins don't yield much for eating. They're basically big hollow gourds. The only thing you can do is save the seeds to toast and eat. :/

Hey, could you grow pumpkins yourself? In your backyard maybe?

I'd love to, but the climate here is all wrong and the "soil" which is mainly sand doesn't have the nutrients to support the plant. If you're lucky, the seeds will sprout and grow to a vine, but then die. :(

Anyway, I'm dressed in a *very* scary costume today--my AC/DC Highway to Hell t-shirt with the pic of the band with Angus Young sporting devil horns. Woooooo!!! Scary stuff! Better watch out! ;P

And BTW, we had the scariest of visitors today--Jehovah's Witnesses left some of their crap literature at the front door. LOL

You should have just let them witness your ass. ;P (Hm, would that be a trick or a treat? :D ;P)

No kids visited your house to ask for candy? Or did your place get toilet-papered or egged?

I never hear them knock. They just sneak up to the porch, leave their crap, and run away.

(Hm, would that be a trick or a treat? :D ;P)

Years ago, I got caught outside by one when I went to get the mail. Since I knew more about the Bible than she did, it turned into a trick for her. Ha, ha, ha! After that, they left the Great Xul alone for a while. LOL ;D

No kids visited your house to ask for candy?

Nope! I *think* they have stuff at the malls that the parents take the kids to. Anyway, there are a lot of Caribbean types around here and I don't think they *do* Halloween. My mother said something about seeing some kids across the street at the neighbor's house, but I think they were with someone visiting relatives over there. If any kids *did* show up here, we had some crap snacks from the doc office to give them. >:D ;P

Or did your place get toilet-papered or egged?

I haven't been outside yet, but I don't think that happened. Eggs are getting too expensive to waste on pranks. ;P

Anyway, after the Queen of Hearts went to bed last night(I thought she was *never* going), I broke out some *special* Halloween makeup and gave myself the best Evil Queen/Morgan le Fay face that I could muster and got a few pics. You can look forward to them in your inbox in a while. ;P ;D

What about you? Anyone doing Halloween over there? Watch any scary movies?

And thank you for that, Cara Mia. :)

There weren't any on TV, unfortunately. Just the usual shows. We don't really celebrate Halloween in mainland Europe.

are you suggesting that I moon them?

Yeah. :D ;P

'Cuz that treat is reserved for not just anyone!

Of course, of course. :)

Well, look at you with your snazzy new technologies! ;P

Have fun with the kiddies!

I had an "adventure" today and gave momster a taste of her own medicine. LOL It was a small "victory" but one none-the-less and quite satisfying! Remind me to tell ya about it later. ;P

Oh yes, I am keenly aware of that! ;P

So yesterday, QoH wanted to go get a new calendar. The place where she gets the one she likes is in Hallandale close to the beach. Made a quick stop at the bread store and then ran across a construction detour by I-95 and lots of traffic being re-routed. Finally got back to the street where the store she wanted to go to is. At this point, she had been complaining and saying negative things since she got into the car back at the house(like always).

We were stopped in more traffic in front of a Denny's restaurant and she makes one of her grand pronouncements that she *HATES* Denny's and yadda yadda. At this point, the little devil on my shoulder whispered in my ear that I should call her on this. I suspected that my mother had never actually eaten at Denny's so how would she even know what the food was like? (BTW, I had eaten at the one by CB's a few times and I had liked the food. It wasn't gourmet but tasty, large portions, and relatively cheap, but I wasn't going to say anything about that as it would definitely open a can of worms.)

So I replied to her in a skeptical tone, "And when have *you* ever been to a Denny's?" She replied that P, a lady we used to work with used to work at one and my mother had to go there one time to pick something up from P. I questioned her as to why she would have had to eat there if she was just picking something up. I asked her what she had and at this point she gave me the ol' 'I don't remember' and then got very agitated by my questioning and got testy with me and told me to stop giving her the third degree. LOL At this point I got an uncontrollable grin and was well pleased with myself. Seems someone who likes to interrogate peeps doesn't like the same treatment! LOLOL

Anyway, got the calendar and then took the scenic route by the beach to go home. Ya can't actually *see* the beach as there are gigantic condos and highrise resort hotels all along the beach except for a small strip called Golden Beach which is all million dollar mansions. And holy crap! They have a shit-ton of new buildings over there since the last time we went by there!

Of course, QoH couldn't resist stopping at a TJ Maxx. I looked at stuff for a bit but was getting annoyed by the loud ghetto assholes in there who don't know how to behave in public so I went outside and sat on a bench until QoH was ready to go.

So that was my excitement for yesterday. :/

And how was your evening? Kiddies were well behaved? What were their parental units up to this time?

But I bet you can smell it, right?

Do you guys still have to money to randomly shop?

And how was your evening?

Vewy, vewy quiet.

Kiddies were well behaved?

There was only one kid to sit on this time. It was the eldest one, who is almost 16 and doesn't really need a babysitter. He played online video games in the game room for 95 percent of the evening. I didn't see much of him and there was nothing on TV so really, I was a bit bored. Which is why I decided to go to bed early.

What were their parental units up to this time?

They went to my brother in law's town for an event there. They took the middle kid with them and the youngest stayed over at my parents' house.

I suppose, but it's hard to tell driving with the windows up and the A/C on! ;P

No, but nothing was purchased. :)

Same here for the latter part of the evening. I *did* find a Belator MMA program on but I had missed the first hour. Didn't matter as I was only interested in the championship match.

Well, QoH wanted her bed linens washed today but then insisted on having me pull everything out of her armoire beforehand. O.o :O That was really ridiculous and stupid as I had to put it all back in, except for a couple items which *miraculously* she threw away. By the time I got to the sheets, it's now late in the day and they'll never get dry(have to hang them outside)as we started Daylight Saving Time last night and now it gets dark an hour earlier. :/ I hope she likes sleeping on wet sheets.

Soooo, anything on your agenda that's interesting or is it as boring as here?

We did that last week. Are you jetlagged now?

I was going to take a little drive in my car but the battery dropped dead on me. Gotta recharge it first. Maybe I can take that drive tomorrow.

I borrowed some Frenche movies from the library which turned out a bit disappointing.

The rest of the week is stil a mystery to me but I'd bet on boring rather than interesting.

No. I loooove Fall-back. It makes me look like I'm getting up earlier and not such a lazy-bones. ;P Only Spring-forward gets me all screwed up.

the battery dropped dead on me.

That's always annoying. Do you have to deal with that happening more when it is cold? I wouldn't know. It doesn't get cold here. :/

I borrowed some Frenche movies

I watched Hannibal Rising a few nights ago. Didn't care much for the actor playing Hannibal but the movie was better than I thought. I also saw a UK movie that was pretty good but can't recall the name ATM. It starred the dude who played Mr. Tumnus in the Narnia movies.

I'd bet on boring rather than interesting.

Same here. I have to do doc appt with QoH today but I'll try to get my new OUAT 3.06 post up tonight.

BTW, your phone...is it the 'droid that you were looking for? ;P ;D

I'm not really into those Narnia movies. If I was I'd probably have spotted that that was James McAvoy playing as Tumnus. Plays Professor X these days.

Heh, yeah. :)
