OUAT 2.21

I enjoyed this episode and I don't give a damn what peeps on *that* message board think.  I'm getting tired of those idiots and especially the Comment Stazi.  Like I said before, one of the benefits of having my own blog is I can write whatever the hell I want and if anyone doesn't like it then they can fuck off because I'm not changing anything I say here to please the Thought Police.

Anyway!  This episode had lots of action and had me waiting in anticipation during the bloody commercials.  There was a bit of everything--torture, ass-kicking, heroics, peeps getting shot, and Regina being a total bad-ass in the face of certain death--once again--and it was friggin AWESOME

Regina was all like, "Motherfucker! You had better kill me now!  'Cuz if you don't?  You are soooo FUCKED!  And not in a good way!  I am half Sicilian and half Puerto Rican and I will fuck your bitch-ass up!"  Okay, she didn't actually *say* that out loud, but her eyes let it be known.  We Regals know what *The Look* translates to!  It's like the Great Vizzini said in Princess Bride, "Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!"  Mua-hahahahahaha!!!!  (Actually, that scene *did* remind me of the scene in Princess Bride where Count Rugen was torturing Westley.)  And I must say, Regina certainly faces certain death like a Champ!(just like another time)  No sniveling, crying, groveling, or begging for mercy for her...defiant til the end!  That's mah girl!  And she *totally* head-fucked that dude and then laughed in his face!  I LOVED it!

I'm just hoping they don't do something stupid like make Regina the "tragic hero" and kill her off in the season finale.  I don't *really* think they'll do that since she's one of the main character, but these are the same idiots who did Lost so anything could happen.  And I hope they don't make it some awful cliffhanger although I'm sure that's what will happen.  It'll be someone getting "killed" in the process and then the stupid cliffhanger and waiting several months to find out what happened.

Congratulations on winning the dead pool. You've won a doodle? By Her Stoatliness? Who's that?

I hope they don't make it some awful cliffhanger although I'm sure that's what will happen.

Well, in all likelihood, yes. But every show does that. Is that really that bad?

Thanks! I have *indeed* won a doodle. The prize used to be Auntie's Spotted Dick, which if you recall, I won before. But due to rising shipping costs, The prize is now Dickless Dick. There was a poll taken and most of the past winners agreed that the doodle that was included with the Dick was even more highly prized, so now the prize is just the doodle. And that's fine by me. Her doodles are cool.

By Her Stoatliness? Who's that?

I added a link to her blog over on my sidebar. She's kinda well known in certain circles. She's a commercial artist and is known in the blogosphere for doing photoshops of political figures.

I put in a request for a pic of a weasel with a sword holding aloft a Gorgon's head in honour of Ray Harryhausen. If I get that? Waaaay cool! If not? I'm still okay with whatever I get.

It's weird...now total strangers are wishing me happy birthday and commenting on my two-time winning status. I think someone actually won 3 or 4 times, though.

Is that really that bad?

Only the anticipation til the next season! ;P

Sooooo, how's the allergies? 100% gone, I hope? I just remembered last night that taking unprocessed local wildflower honey can help with allergies. It helps your immune system adjust to the pollens in the air.

Other than that, how's things with you?

Worse things have happened :)

They seem to think your a guy over there though. Well, Her Stoatliness thinks so anyway.

how's the allergies?

Practically gone. I eat honey everyday in my muesli or on my peanut butter. My immune system is somewhat broken. I doubt it'll get fixed anytime soon.

how's things with you?

I'm okay, I guess. I'll be babysitting tomorrow evening at my sister's house as she'll be away to Amsterdam to a concert. Sunday is mother's day over here and my aunt´s 65th birthday which I will not be attending. I'm such a jerk.

And what will you or will you not be doing this weekend?

That's fine by me. It keeps more of a semblance of anonymity.

Well, Her Stoatliness thinks so anyway.

I don't know if she *still* thinks that--I had to email my mailing info, name and all--but I used the shortened version of my first name. I think in some countries it could be a guy's name, IDK.

I eat honey everyday

Raw or processed honey? 'Cuz raw local honey is better for you. :)

My immune system is somewhat broken. I doubt it'll get fixed anytime soon.

Now you're sending my "fix-it" genes into overdrive! I want to go all mad scientist/6 Million Dollar Man on you--I can rebuild it! ;P Seriously, a month or so of a Phase 1 diet would probably help tremendously.

to Amsterdam to a concert.

Lucky her.

Sunday is mother's day over here

Here, too. I bought my mother a really funny card(IMO)and she wants me to make a pineapple upside-down cake. I've never made one before so I hope it doesn't turn out like crap! LOL

I will not be attending. I'm such a jerk.

Why aren't you attending other that you're a jerk? LOL ;P

And what will you or will you not be doing this weekend?

^See above, plus yard work, sweating in 88 degree heat, OUAT season finale and who knows what. ;P

I really dislike diets. A leftover from having been forced to be a vegetarian for a decade and a half. My immune system is broken in the sense that it's too good :) It's likely the cause of my diabetes.

pineapple upside-down cake.

Sounds delicious and impossible to screw up. I mean, you probably always end up with something eatable.

Why aren't you attending

I don't want to face my family and my aunt´s friends. Partly because I'm worried they'll tell me bad things about myself and make me feel ashamed about myself and partly because these people are so damn normal and normally successful in their normal lives that they'll just remind me how much I've fucked up my life and are continueing to do so, really.

Just thinking about going there depresses me.

sweating in 88 degree heat

Wow, 31 deg Celsius already?

It's likely the cause of my diabetes.

Do you mean the forced vegetarianism caused the diabetes or your most excellent immune system caused it? 'Cuz my understanding is it's caused by pancreatic wonky-ness. I'm a firm believer in food as medicine but I'd hardly advocate vegetarianism. Of course, I can't badger you too much from this side of the Atlantic. ;P

Sounds delicious and impossible to screw up

I'm in the process of making it now. I dug out the cast-iron skillet and the ingredients and the old woman is consulting the Ancient Book of Recipes for the exact instructions. That could take a while as she's no doubt getting distracted by other ancient recipes, so I've taken the opportunity to get on the 'toob for a bit!

Just thinking about going there depresses me.

So they won't be invading *your* space, then. Easier to avoid when they aren't in the same house. That's one good thing about my mother alienating everyone in the family, I don't have anyone to question anything I do or don't do or pass judgement, not that I really give a flying fuck what any of the idiots in my so-called family think.

If it's any consolation, I still like ya! :)

Wow, 31 deg Celsius already?

Yes, it's blazing hot and horribly humid and will be that way for the next couple o' days. Then there is supposed to be a "cold" front passing through which will drop the temperature to a bone chilling 82F/28C. :/ I take it you are not experiencing such extreme temps yet?

This one :)

the Ancient Book of Recipes

Oh, you have one of those too? Neat! :)

my mother alienating everyone in the family,

My mother did that with only my dad's side of the family. The other side simply moved away all on their own.

If it's any consolation, I still like ya! :)

Yep, that definitely counts as a consolation :)

I take it you are not experiencing such extreme temps yet?

Nah, it's kinda nice actually ATM. And it's expected to cool down somewhat.

Are you going to put up a pic of that delicious pineapple upside-down cake?

Yep! And a Note-card Box of Secret and Ancient Recipes and a large library of other recipe books which are rarely used. LOL

only my dad's side of the family

My dad accuses my mother of doing this, although it's a combination of things IMO. My mother doesn't like my dad's side(which is justifiable--they *are* assholes)and she avoided them, but they were mostly aloof and avoided her back. My mothers side consisted of her sister and her husband and kids and they moved away a long time ago. My mother never really got along with her sister(also with good cause) but my mother doesn't approve of/get along with anyone. She would always/does always find something wrong with every friend I've ever had. She's an equal opportunity sourpuss. Peeps avoid her right back. My mother can't get along with anyone.

Are you going to put up a pic of that delicious pineapple upside-down cake?

Oh, absolutely! I knew you would want to see it my dearest Arekino! ;)
