I had to go back and make all my bolded ones yellow because bolded white letters on the black background didn't really show. :/

I don't think so. But I guess you were given a choice. ;P

No, more like dye it with irregularity. ;P I think most peeps who do dye their hair do it every 3 weeks. I wait like 3 to 4 months before I do mine. Whenever it starts to look really bad IOW. it's a pain in the assignment to do.

When I was a kid I stayed up all night because I could. No real reason. It was during summer and I didn't have school to get up to go to. Plus I'm a night owl anyway. ;)

I'm my father's only offspring. My siblings are from QoHs previous marriage. Plus they were grown by the time I was born so I was raised like an only child with no other kids in the house.

I don't really recall if we had a choice or not. It was in HS and we had to go to a nearby Park to paint curbs and handicap parking spaces. It was supposed to look good for college applications or something. Like we were altruistic kids who cared about the community. What a load of crap. Basically we painted some stuff for an hour or so (in actuality, a couple students painted while the others stood around and BS'd) and then ran around the park and played. ;P I think the alternative was being left behind at school. So it wasn't much choice. :)

Arekino, what are the Dutch words for commanding a dog, like "sit", "stay", "attack", etc? Just curious. ;)

So what did you do all night?

what are the Dutch words for commanding a dog, like "sit", "stay", "attack", etc?

sit -> zit
stay -> blijf
attack -> pak hem! (basically: get him!) or kill! :)
give me a paw -> geef me een pootje
good boy -> brave hond

Why do you ask?

I just watched TV. Probably something on PBS. I remember staying up really late watching Akira Kurasawa's film Ran on PBS one time. That movie was loooong. :O

A while back on the news they said that the county got some new police dogs from the NL and they were trained in Dutch and only understood commands in Dutch. I thought it might be helpful to know some. ;)

Akira Kurasawa's film Ran

I've seen a bunch of Kurosawa movies and I'm sure I've seen this one as well... I just don't remember it. :(

I thought it might be helpful to know some.

Ah. There's another one "af!" which is a way of telling the dog to drop something or to stop bothering someone. Probably won't work on a police dog.

We're having the first thunderstorm of the year ATM. Yay. :)

Also, I made a sale. In Warframe, that is. Sold an Ember Prime blueprint for 300 platinum. Which is actually quite cheap but I don't care. It's my first real sale. It made me feel a bit nauseous afterwards. :)

Hey, I *did* miss one. Had to go back and highlight 'I've been to a professional sports game'. I've been to many, in fact. Football, baseball, and many hockey games. :)

I just don't remember it. :(

There were samurais, beheadings, and burning castles.

Warframe

I think Her Stoatliness plays that. I, however, am not familiar with any games newer than Nintendo NES ones. ;P

300 platinum

Is that similar to gold pressed latinum or quatloos? I wonder what the exchange rate is? ;)

It made me feel a bit nauseous afterwards. :)

Why? Did you give the house away so to speak?

I'm not sure that narrows it down.

Is that similar to gold pressed latinum or quatloos?

If only. :)

Did you give the house away so to speak?

Not the entire house but this was my most valuable item. And my first real sale. I guess I'm just a nervous type of person in those kinds of situations.

Oh, was I supposed to do the meme thing as well BTW?

You can do the meme thingy if you like. I can probably predict most of your answers. ;)

I got another meme originating from George Takei on Facebook. It goes, "Pick up the closest book to you and turn to page 206. The first sentence explains your love life."

Mine was from Power Speech by Roy Alexander: "Performers often take the hide off one another just to sharpen their verbal equipment." LOL

I think Takei's was from Harry Potter and something like 'even the ghosts won't go near it'. LOL

Anyway, I recently started following Claudia Christian's page (she of Babylon 5 fame). She's pretty funny.

Okay, I just invented a seriously awesome sandwich today. I had baked some chicken breasts and then finished them on the grill over charcoals over the weekend. It gave the chicken a delicious smokey flavor. I had a craving for a chicken sandwich earlier, and wanted something Chinese style but sweet. So I had a bottle of Kung Pao sauce in the fridge and I made it sweet with the addition of honey. So sliced chicken breast + a liberal quantity of the sauce + lettuce, slapped on whole wheat bread = heavenly nom nom nom deliciousness! :D

In other news, had free Starz channel over the weekend and binge watched most of Outlander season 1. I quite liked it. :)

Hm, yeah. Seems kinda pointless then.

Pick up the closest book to you and turn to page 206.

Okay. Closest book to me does not have page numbers. Next closest gives me "...from across the globe they have come to witness the most talked-about event in boxing history" (from The Complete Adventures Of Cholly And Flytrap by Arthur Suydam). :O

I quite liked it

"married combat nurse from 1945 ... swept back in time to 1743 ... thrown into an unknown world" Hm. It doesn't sound that especially exciting to me. What did you like about it?

When it first debuted it didn't seem very interesting to me, either. I admit I didn't watch all the episodes, only a little more than half maybe. It definitely got more interesting when Claire was made to marry Jamie. He's very easy on the eyes and kinda sexy. It's obvious that this series was written by a woman. Definitely creating an 'every woman's fantasy' type guy in Jamie's character. And then the sex scenes were pretty hot. ;D So I guess that's a bit of a shallow reason to like a series. ;P It was well acted and seemed an accurate portrayal of life in Scotland back then. The English were cunts to everyone.

It's TV. I doubt that there are any deep reasons for watching anything on it.

The English were cunts to everyone.

Most peoples were not excellent to each other in those days.

I went to vote in the Ukraine-referendum today. Voted for the association treaty. The outcome of the referendum probably won't matter but at least I got some exercise. :)

BTW did you come up with a name for your sandwich invention? :)

It has been sunny and warm here and not very humid. This weekend the temperature is supposed to drop even more. I guess it's the last cool weather before the unbearable heat and humidity sets in. :/ Today is a nice beach day if I did that sort of thing any more. :/

I *did* catch some rays the other day while working in the yard. I wore a tank top while outside for about an hour. I got a bit of a tan without getting burnt. I should go out in a bikini and get some color all over but QoH would throw a massive fit because the neighbor might see. :rolls eyes:

LOL I really hate auto correct. Sometimes it can be amusing, though.

Isn't the bikini a traditional Floridan outfit? Whenever I watch a show or a movie about people living in Florida there's always someone waring a bikini of some type. I mean, I can imagine that during the Summer it's hot as hell where you live.

QoH would throw a massive fit because the neighbor might see

Maybe you should tell her to put a bikini on as well. That way she can divert any prying eyes away from you. ;P

Oh, I got a cal from the Psych people. I have an appointment with them next week.

Well, that's TV for ya. ;) The only peeps who wear bikinis here are the wimmin folk at the beach. General purpose hot weather attire is usually tank tops or halters or short sleeve shirts with shorts and flip flops or sandals. The only time I wear closed shoes is when I go to the store. That's for safety reasons. Shoes and socks in hot weather just makes your feet even hotter. :/

It wouldn't just divert eyes, it would likely blind them as well. ;P

Well, good luck with the shrinkers. :)

A bit of QoH craziness to report: Yesterday before we went out grocery shopping, QoH forbid me from wearing my fedora out while shopping. She thinks that someone is just gonna steal it right off my head. I did not comply and she got pissed and said well, if they *do* then you're not getting another one! I just had to laugh. 1)I bought it myself with my own money, and 2)I'll be 40 in a month. How the hell do you speak to a 40 y/o like a child and tell them they won't be getting another one? It's so ridiculous and more proof that she'll forever see me as a 5 y/o. Besides, the fedora isn't an expensive one. It's one of those straw ones and I paid like $5 for it. ;P

Thanks.

Is there something magical about that number? I mean, talking like that to 30 year old is just as nuts. :)

Do you not usually wear the fedora?

Saturday, April 09, 2016 1:12:00 PM
Blogger Xul said...

No, nothing magical. It's just even more absurd to order someone that age around. It's one thing if you're teens or early 20's then there *could* be an argument that the person is young and inexperienced, but it's still disrespectful IMO. Saying it to a 40 y/o is beyond the pale.

If I wear a hat it is usually the fedora or my panthers cap with the autographs on the brim. I've never had a problem with anyone trying to take either of them. It's just crazy paranoid cap that she is displaying more and more of. She has always been fearful and paranoid, I think it's just getting to me because I'm never away from her and it's driving me bat shit crazy. :/

I glad I don't live with someone like that though. I guess my parents are not so bad...

Well, tree are pollinating each other so I've the Serious Sneezies again. It's like there's water running from a tap in my nose. I'm literally stuffing tissues up my nose.

Also, we've been building a greenhouse in my sister's back garden. It seemed to be problematic at the start but we managed it. The hay-fever did not help.

Hmmm, ear-scented candles. ;P

So, today I had a couple of appointments with some psych people. I did go but it turns out they had put the wrong address (in the wrong town) in the invitation letter. So now I have another set of appointments next week or something.

How are things going over yonder? Anything new going on?

I had that ear wax cleaning procedure done when I was a kid because a large quantity had gotten further down my ear canal than QoH could reach with a Q-tip. I haven't had it done since. I generally give my ears a good cleaning after I shampoo my hair and get out of the shower.

That's very annoying when you get wrong information and show up to the wrong place. :/

I am not feeling well today. It's a combination of Ma Nature and me feeling depressed about my situation in general. And the the big 4-0 b-day in 2 weeks. It's depressing because I see peeps that I went to school with on Facebook celebrating their 40th with friends and family or in one case someone posted what peeps at work did (decorated her desk and work area and had a cake). Peeps living normal lives basically. It's very depressing that I have no one to do any of that with and no one here who would go to the trouble. I had thought about asking one of my ff friends if she would write a short story for me but then I feel like such a loser for even asking someone who I barely know and is half my age to do that even though she's nice enough that she probably would do it. Sigh. I just want to crawl under my blanket an die. :(

Yeah, I know how you feel. Do you think that you are at a crossroads? Like, if you don't do something about your situation now, it will be too late?

You know, if you keep wishing you'll die, that will actually happen. You will die, little by little. Eventually, all you'll be glad about is that you can still fall asleep at night. But you'll still hate yourself in the morning.

:)

Anyway, maybe you should just get really drunk on your birthday? You never know what might happen. ;P

Yes, I've definitely reached a breaking point. I just messaged someone on Facebook to try to start a dialog and maybe get some help or advice. This situation is almost completely unbearable and something has to give.

Well, I already feel like I've been dying little by little. Like being sucked dry by an emotional vampire for 22 years. It really sucks. :rimshot:

I will not be getting drunk. I've kinda lost my taste for alcohol. Besides, I don't want to feel like crap from a hangover. And then I'd get a berating from QoH about doing something so stupid and 'feeling sorry for myself' as she would put it.

Yes, the husband of my BFF from hs.

Because there were other peeps around who divided up her attention, plus I had 13 years of school at 7 hours per day away from her. The last 22 I've been basically a captive with nowhere to escape to.

I never drank much to begin with. Mainly beer and only one 12 ounce bottle maybe every 2 weeks or so. I only rarely had anything stronger, and only then maybe once or twice per year.

Well, I'm not feeling too bad today. When I got up QoH had went back to bed so it was the perfect opportunity for me to color my hair without being disturbed. It was grown out maybe 4 inches of white on either side with the right side being the worst. Long hair is a pain in the ass to color, though. :/

Anyway, I got it done and now it is nice and Sable colored all over. :)

I still will probably have a few inches trimmed off. I don't want it getting too long.

QoH almost messed up a gig with a client. The lady had called a couple weeks ago to say that she was going to have eye surgery a few days before the gig and maybe she wouldn't feel up to it. QoH interpreted that to mean that she was absolutely cancelling but wasn't sure because the lady didn't call back. So QoH has spent the last 3 or so days stressing and procrastinating about calling her to find out for sure and bugging me over what she should say and how she should phrase it. Long story short, QoH calls her today and the gig is def on. Yay! :)

Fucking bitch just put her Fucking hands on me again. She always instigates this shit by criticising something in this instance my hair and provoking me to defend myself. She accused me of trying to trim my hair myself and then saying it looks like shit, and then it's thin because I blow dry it. I haven't done so in weeks. Then she says it's my fault it looks like shit and I'm obviously doing something to it to make it look like shit. I had enough of her as she's standing in my door way blocking it so I tried to close the door and she holds on to the door frame to prevent me. She is right in my face trying to sumo me with her fat stomach so I grab the door frame to to get some leverage and then she starts calling me a dyke again because I'm standing my ground and oh you think you're so tough you dyke you think you're a man, dress, like a man etc. I do not incidently. Then she puts her hands under my boobs on my ribs pushing me and it fucking hurt. So we're toe to toe in a standoff so I changed tactics and went low like a football cross body block and managed to get her out and slam the door and lock it. Fucking cunt.

BTW I just watched the movie Pixels (with Adam Sandler) and I don't really understand the criticism this movie gets. It's not perfect, it has some parts that are a bit boring but it's watchable. The kind of movie parents can watch with their kids and relate in some way.

Yeah, Tampa Bay got the Lightning in 1992 and then we got the Florida Panthers in '93. There are lots of retirees and assorted snowbirds from up north and Canada so there was a market for it.

If there is a fighter I like I sometimes get into it and give advice. I don't throw punches or kicks at the TV or anything. Or if there is a fighter I don't like, I give their opponent advice. ;P

Does fighting with QoH count as a sport? If so, it's one I'd rather not participate in. She has been very nasty yesterday and today. You can read about what happened yesterday a few comments back if you missed it.

Do you quite prefer to use your phone for internet related stuff now? You seem to be using it much more often than before.

Anyway, the weather was great today. Sunny but not too warm. Nice weather for a walk in the park.

There's nothing to prepare, really. Just show up and do it. But QoH always has to turn the simplest things into an ordeal, so she has to do hours and hours of agonizing over the menu and write it all out like an itinerary.

Yeah, it's very convenient for looking at things quickly. And easier to tuck away out of sight than a laptop. I still prefer the laptop for reading anything lenthy or for writing.

The weather was very nice here as well. It got somewhat cool last night and it isn't humid at all right now and the temp is around 80F. It's beautiful for being outside. :) I was out earlier cleaning up some leaves.

I bought a navigation device for my car. My parents own a really old one but its maps are outdated and it's no longer possible to download updates for it. I don't know how often I'll use it and I assume my parents will make use of it as well sometimes. The reason I bought it now is because I have to take that trip to the psych people in a nearby city that I haven't been to in a while. Normally I'd use a print out of a google-maps map but from past experiences that has proven to be really inconvenient.

I on the other hand have been banned from using my own car. The biggest mistake I ever made was not getting that vehicle in my name when it was purchased. I should have never trusted that QoH would actually follow through on transferring it to my name once it was paid for. I could fucking kick myself. Now the fucker really has me by the short hairs because now I can't try to get a job because it's necessary to have a vehicle to be able to go to interviews or a job. Is it an android phone? If I tap the 12# key I get numbers and other symbols. If I then tap the 1/2 key (as there are two "pages" of symbol keys apparently) I get a bunch of keys that include < and > keys.

You really should venture out more.

Well, I do have to test the thing so who knows where I'll end up. :)

The biggest mistake I ever made was not getting that vehicle in my name when it was purchased

I agree. You need more things in your name, I think.

I on the other hand have been banned from using my own car.

Literally banned? I assume it still needs repairs.

I could fucking kick myself.

That's kind of an empty threat. ;P

Ah, found it! Thanks! I didn't notice when you tap the "Sym" button there is a 1/2 key to tap for more symbols. It would have been nice if this phone came with user instructions. :/

Well, if you do venture out, take some pix. :)

Well, I have no money to buy things in my name. :/

Yep, on Sunday night she got a bug up her ass to go back up to the Winn Dixie in Hollywood to buy more chickens that were on sale for .99 cents/pound. Of course she had to announce this only a couple hours before OUAT came on. She is notorious for taking forever to get dressed and leave the house and also takes forever to get there and shop. I got pissed because I didn't want to miss my show and then she got pissed and gave me the evil eye and a semi silent treatment. When OUAT was about to start, I heard her on the phone downstairs calling the store. She comes up again and I told her I was watching my show, what time does Winn Dixie close? 11pm. Okay, we can go afterward as OUAT is over at 9pm and it only takes 20 minutes to get there. She got pissed again and there was a minor argument and somewhere in there I said "or I could just drive up there myself" to which she told me she wouldn't trust me to do it and you're not using the car. I always knew there was an alterior motive to her wanting me to keep the car in the car port other than keeping the paint job from getting sun damage. It makes it impossible for me to just go jump in it and drive away since she keeps her truck parked in front of it in the driveway effectively keeping it blocked in.

Anyway, the repair that it needs is just cosmetic as the grill was damaged, it drives fine. Funny, I moved the vehicles around last week to wash them and she didn't seem to have a trust issue then.

Oh! Nearly forgot, while we were arguing on sunday with OUAT on they just *had* to choose that episode to appease the LGBT community by making Ruby and Dorothy an item with true loves kiss tonsil hockey. Thank God that happened while QoH was out of the room as her confirmation bias would kick in and she would have more "proof" to go with her accusations. :(

I wonder if that's a thing for older women. My mother takes ages to get dressed as well. And she hates going out of the house in the morning. And she hates it if people ask her when she's gonna get get dressed.

I moved the vehicles around last week to wash them

You should have just driven off after washing it saying you're "air drying" the car. ;P

I went to the car-wash today BTW. My little car, almost 20 years old now, really needed a good cleaning. Tomorrow morning I'm off to see the wizard, ehm, psych person.

to appease the LGBT community

I'm sure they were just trying to please the LGBT fans.

How does your QoH expect you to meet a potential boyfriend anyway? If she keeps you locked up like that?

Well, QoH has always taken forever to get dressed. And she is not a morning person. Even if she is up in the morning she'll fart around all day until it's past 3pm before she gets ready to get ready. It's very annoying. It's like she has no concept of time and is in her own little world. It was especially frustrating when I was a kid. She couldn't get me to school on time to save her life and then I'd get marked tardy as if it was my fault like I was the one driving. What a bunch of assholes I've had to deal with in life. Her and those strict asshole teachers at that school. :huffs and grumbles:

Yeah, I should have driven it farther than just turning it around in the street.

Well, good luck with the shrinker. :)

Yeah, the LGBT fans have been complaining for 5 seasons now. And now they can complain that it's only 2 minor characters who only knew each other for a couple hours and it's unrealistic. Like anything on this show is realistic.

I don't think she ever wants me to meet anyone. She wants me all to herself like I'm a personal slave. Anytime any guy has ever tried to chat me up at work she gets into what could best be described as a jealous rage (you should see the hateful look on her face) and chases them away. She can't stand it if I'm out of her sight for 5 minutes. Even if I go outside to rake leaves or do something in the yard she has to come out to annoy me if I'm outside for longer than 10 minutes. And when I was still working regularly and had friends from work, QoH would get pissed if I went out with any of them. She'd always call me every couple hours to check up on me and then always criticises and runs down everyone to discourage me from being friends with them. She's an expert at alienation. Plus she makes such a nuisance of herself that people don't want to be friends with me because of her.

It was just an intake meeting. She asked a bunch of questions I've been asked before many times by psych professionals. Nothing special.

She appeared to have some issues with my lack of being motivated. I just told her the truth, if it wasn't for Social Services telling me to get psych treatment I wouldn't have been there asking for it.

The drive there was kinda fun. The nav system worked perfectly.

She's an expert at alienation.

My mother can be pretty good at that as well. I don't tolerate that, of course. I always push back. Still, over the years she's managed to influence my outlook on the world, I think.

Yeah, it's hard not to be influenced, especially when I was younger and with the extreme enmeshment. I've never in my life seen a case as extreme as with QoH. I've never seen anyone with such an extreme need to control othets, especially me. It's like she thinks that she owns me in body, mind, and soul. She wants me to think exactly the way she does, have the same likes and preferences, and there is no room for disagreement or else it sets off a war. It's really sick and she can't see it. Zero self awareness there. She can never be wrong. It always has to be everyone else would is wrong. And you can't just be wrong, you become to her Satan incarnate.

To Breda. According to google maps it's about 12 km far. A 20 min drive, give or take a minute. I took a slower route than I could have though.

And you can't just be wrong, you become to her Satan incarnate.

I hate to say this but your mother may be insane.

I guess so. It shouldn't take that long to go only 12 km. Speaking of taking too long, QoH sucks at driving. We could have been home in 30 minutes if I was driving (or if I was by myself) because the ramp to I-95 is very close to where the peeps live. I would have just gotten on there and been home right quick. QoH, however, is scared to go on I-95 so she has to go across town and north a bit to get on the turnpike which takes another 15 minutes and then drives slow all the way home (she hates going the speed limit). :/

your mother may be insane.

I'm sure she is.

She was kinda outta sorts tonight. Like nothing the lady said to her was computing. I basically had to take charge and get all the food ready (all of it was pre-cooked, so just heating it up and getting the appetizers plated up). Just as well, things go smoother when I'm running the show. ;)

It was an easy gig anyway. :)

Yep. I don't like spending more time in the car with her than I have to.

She probably does need meds, but she's too paranoid to go to the doc or take any. She quit taking her diabetes ones over a year ago. Unfortunately, no one can force her to do anything.

I did make a decent amount and got to bring home some food, too. The hubby made some delicious lamb shanks and the daughter brought some matzo ball soup. It was kinda a bring your own type deal. Everyone who attended brought a dish of something. I also brought home some of the Brussels sprouts that the son brought. :)

I found out something funny talking to the grandmother (she's like 90 something and super nice). Her son (husband of the lady) is 6 days younger than QoH. :O

Anyway, the lady's other son recently got married and he and his wife are moving close to where we live so the lady is trying to lobby for them to do parties at their place and she would pay for us to go to do their gigs. :)

There have been times where I didn't like a particular dish, but in general the food is usually pretty good.

How is that funny?

Not 'ha, ha' funny, but coincidence funny.

In other news, QoH was trying to kill me with much tree cutting today. I cut probably a third of the one avocado tree down. Some of the larger limbs were heart-dead and could break if there was a storm or it grew a lot of fruit. One of those limbs was maybe 25-30cm diameter. It was a lot of work and now I'm tired and sore. :/

Miraculously, she didn't go shopping or want me to do anything on Sunday, so I rested all day. Unfortunately, since she didn't go shopping on Friday, we had to go today. And it was her usual wait until mid-afternoon to start to "get ready", then take 2 hours dicking around "getting ready" until it was 5pm when we left. Then take 3.5 hours to do what would have taken me an hour to hour and a half max. :/

The Target Super Center had corned beef for $2.99/lb and I intended to cook it when we got home, but since that didn't happen until 9pm and I didn't get all the groceries in and put away until 9:30, cooking didn't happen. I'm not staying up past 1am for that. I'll just do it tomorrow. QoH was all butthurt about it, but maybe she should learn to leave the house at a decent time. I was up at 9:30am today, so she can't use that as an excuse.

This bitch is completely insane. First thing when I got up today I went and started preparing the corned beef. Got it in the pot and cooking. Then I went to go get some carrots from downstairs to get those prepped. Unfortunately for me QoH was coming down from her bedroom when I got back up from the basement. I took the carrots to the kitchen and put them in the sink. She started throwing a fit over that because she always thinks the sink is equivalent in filth to a sewer. It is not. So she insists I put them in a collender. Then she starts having a fit over the peeler I was using and the way I was peeling them. She was literally screaming at me that I'm doing it wrong. Like there is a right or wrong way to do it. If they end up peeled, who cares? She was so out of control that I went to get my phone to record her flipping out so I can have proof. Too bad I missed the beginning. Anyway, I got about 5 minutes of her flipping out and her usual go-to lesbian accusations and her accusing me of "beating her up" which is a total lie. That incident that happened I was standing in the kitchen eating a salad and she grabbed me by the throat and tried to strangle me because I wasn't reacting the way she wanted me to as she was shouting at me. I tried to get away from her and she grabbed me from behind around my waist and wouldn't let me go. I finally broke away from her and ran outside. I think you remember me telling you about that, Arekino. Anyway, her revisionist history is I "beat her up". What a fucking mental case. I have photos of all the scratches and the gash in my arm from her. She didn't have a scratch on her. When the cops came I had enough injuries for her to be arrested. She's lucky I didn't want that to happen and the cops were reluctant to take an elderly woman to jail even though legally I had injuries to warrant it. So at least I got more evidence recorded of how crazy she is. Fuck this shit.

The truth would have become public knowledge. I don't know exactly how those things work in the US but I assume there would have been an investigation, maybe an evaluation of your mother by a psychiatrist. It could have given you an opportunity to testify that you don't feel safe around her.

You are assuming that the notoriously lazy and incompetent bureaucrats here would do anything. The only thing that would happen is she'd get arrested for assault or simple battery and maybe an additional domestic violence charge which they would likely plee down the charges to something less and she'd be bonded out in the morning and be mad as hell and ready to do serious damage. The whole legal system here is a joke. They'll tell you to take out a restraining order which takes weeks and weeks to do because of all the red tape, and for what? A piece of paper isn't going to protect you from a crazy person who would really be out for blood. I've had experience with the legal system here due to other family members and their dysfunction and it is simply not worth it. It turns into a real fiasco.

In other news I had an unusual encounter at the gas station yesterday. There was a different Arab attendant than the usual 2 guys. I was wearing a tank top as it was hot and the guy commented that I look like I work out. I said I do a little bit. ;) And then I told him I used to do martial arts. He seemed intrigued but in a weird way, like I was a novelty or something. It was a weird vibe. QoH would have totally flipped out as she doesn't like middle eastern peep. I didn't tell her about it either. I'm getting away better at just keeping things to myself as she usually has negative reactions to things.

It's not just Florida. Any large metropolitan area is a problem. The legal system is overwhelmed due to the large population. And then in the last few years the govt has gotten even more lax with enforcement. You basically have to settle matters the best you can on your own.

"Plan B for now then."

Too bad I never had a plan A. :/

I'm feeling tired ATM. QoH demanded that I cook her eggplants earlier, then hem and hawed around about going to the store even though we went on Tuesday. It's not like we ran out of food in 3 days. So I really didn't want to go for that reason, but she accuses me of not wanting to go because I might miss a conversation or an email from one of my man girlfriends. :O

Well, I never even had one, but now I'm being accused of having a harem. It's all so ridiculous. If I really did have all these people wouldn't I move the hell out of here and go be with one of them? I guess that would be too logical to consider.

Peeps I know in real life won't help me out. I guess it would be illogical to think that imaginary ones that I don't even know would. O_o

Doesn't really matter. There's lots of letters in the alphabet. ;)

Yes. Puzzling.

wouldn't I move the hell out of here and go be with one of them?

I'm sure there is a difference in demographics and a difference in enforcement.

She was back at it again today. I made the mistake of getting up at 10am and she discovered that fact at 10:30 when she came upstairs to use the bathroom. I guess she could hear that the fan was off. She just barged right in. Doesn't even knock. I find that very disrespectful and annowing. So she wanted to go to the store again but always insists on making a list of things needed. Since we just went 4 days ago, there isn't much needed, only eggplants and mayo sine one store had it on sale. I get impatient with this and she started with her usual ad hominim attacts. I went upstairs with my breakfast that I had been preparing. She followed me a few minutes later and really laid into me with nasty name calling. Her favorite epithet is "demon" or "demonic little bitch". I got up and went to the bathroom and locked the door. She was calling me names and making threats the whole time. She eventually left my room and went back to the kitchen. I went to my room to get my phone to record her tirade. Unfortunately I always miss the worst of them by the time I can get to my phone without her knowing she's being recorded. I did get a little bit. Her new claim is that I "beat her up" which is a huge lie. She strangled me but won't own up to it. She spins that into I beat her up. The only time I ever struck her was when I slapped her in the face the time I was trying to change the battery in my car. She was screaming in my face and calling me the most vicious and abusive things and I slapped her face. Of course that makes me guilty in the eyes of the law. What a fucked up situation. A slap to the face is not getting beat up.

Anyway, it has been very soupy here weather wise the past 2 days. Raining pretty heavy on and off. It's supposed to clear up by the weekend and be rather nice. QoH made me put the stupid hurricane panels up to the living room window, though. She gets all freaked out over the weather report on tv. I have tried to just sit out back and enjoy the weather but it's almost impossible. (me doing something I want is wasting my time, but doing something she wants is not. See how that works?) Anyway, if I want to just sit outside I have to hide behind doing yard work (and a big mango tree literally ;P) We have a hedgerow of draecena next to the mango tree which blocks QoHs view from the back window. I've sat on the ground leaning back against the tree a couple times. Used the opportunity to play with my phone. :)

Bloody awful. ;D And it's worse than usual. It's usually bad on day one, but doesn't bother me too much the other 2 or 3 days. This time around its still ripping. :/

I don't climb ladders that often to get much exercise from it.

The weather is still nice here. There's a nice cool breeze from the north and it's sunny. They are having the air show at Ft Lauderdale beach today. I wish I was there, but I feel like cap so I'm watching the Kentucky Derby races instead.

Do you dread that period of the month? I mean, you know it's going to happen, you know it's going to hurt.

live UFC event from Rotterdam

And? Was it any fun?

I do hope at least Mother's Day is literally uneventful for you.

Yeah, I dread it a bit. It's mostly an inconvenience. And it's always different every time. I usually have pains on the 1st day to varying degrees and then it peters off. This time around it lasted longer. :/

It was mostly meh.

Mostly uneventful. QoH was all butt hurt because I didn't wish her a Happy Mothers Day in a timely manner. She was apparently stewing about it up until I did and then she made a snide comment about having only one child now (golden boy half bro) and that she "unfriended" me or disinherited me or something. She mumbled it under her breath and I didn't really hear it.

She was all pissed off at me because I was watching the MMA and she wanted to go to the store. She always seems to want to go to the store even when we don't need anything. I told her I was not going today because I wanted to watch OUAT later. She got pissed over that. When the MMA was over I decided to go patch some more on the roof. When I was just about finished (I had been up there for over an hour and a half) she came out to put some fertilizer on her plants and had wandered off into the yard. I went to put the ladder away in the carport (had previously moved both vehicles to get it out) and then move the vehicles back into place. I used the opportunity to run my car for a bit to keep the battery charged up. Then I came inside and made sure to not lock the door since QoH was still somewhere outside. I then took the kitchen garbage out to the bin at the curb and came back in. I thought I had heard QoH knocking at the back door so I went to check the door. It was unlocked and I didn't see her out the window. I thought that was strange. Then she comes in a few minutes later and accused me of locking her out. I absolutely did not. Then she says yes you did I heard you come and unlock it. What she heard was me checking the handle which was definitely unlocked. Then I told her to her face not to try to gaslight me and play mind games. She is definitely ramping up her bullshit lately. :(

Is he actually a golden boy? You've never told me much about him. What's he like?

Sounds like a bit of paranoia on her part. She seems to have spend some time about how you feel about her and concluded that you dislike her so much that you'd try and lock her out.

There's not much to tell. He's been incarcerated for most of my life. The last time I saw him I was maybe 11 or 12 y/o. In spite of all that, QoH has never spoken as badly about him as she does me.

She is rather paranoid about all sorts of things and getting worse the older she gets. Locking the door when *I'm* outside is her modus operandi though. So I guess you could say that she's assuming that I'm doing what she normally does.

Anyhoo, got dragged into a shopping ordeal today. While in a store there was a dude with a wolf. :O

Does he have mental issues like QoH?

Zoals de waard is vertrouwt hij zijn gasten. Old Dutch proverb.

While in a store there was a dude with a wolf.

An actual wolf? How the heck is that legal? They are beautiful animals though.

He certainly has issues, but I don't think he's ever been diagnosed.

Old Dutch proverb.

I do believe you mentioned that before and it still fits. ;)

An actual wolf?

Yep. A timber wolf. QoH thought it was a husky and went up to the guy and asked him. Turns out it was a 6 month old wolf pup (which was almost as big as a full size husky). It was very well behaved. The guy seemed to be doing a god job of training it to obey.

How the heck is that legal?

IDK, just one more example of how laws are not enforced any more. I know that you are not supposed to bring pets into stores unless they are service animals, but people do all the time with toy breeds. This is the first time I've seen anyone be so bold as to bring a large one into a grocery store. And of course the employees never say anything. It's this new prevailing attitude where no one says anything or gets involved when someone is doing something questionable.

It was a pretty animal, though. And the guy seemed relatively responsible the way he was handling the wolf.

Florida is developing into a nation of anarchists?

We still have very nice weather. I'm still taking walks. Maybe I should do more exercise. I could stand to lose a few kilos.

When the govt doesn't enforce things, the people will act accordingly. :/

It's mostly nice here, too. Although it was a little hotter today.

I'm still taking walks.

And I'm still raking leaves. ;)

Sounds like a plan. It's not too late to lose some kilos. I've gotten back to doing situps more regularly. The abs are definitely responding well. :)

QoH was back at it again today with her nonsense. I basically told her she was being ridiculous and called her a moron. She didn't like that and returned fire with her usual. I've been avoiding her by staying in my room. It has been 6 hours now (almost 11:30pm) and I'm kinda hungry but the bitch won't leave the damn kitchen. >:(

She didn't? That's weird. ;P

Well, you know what they say. If you can't stand the heat...

He calls just about every weekend (except for a several week gap last month). QoH usually talks to him. She had been sending him money regularly when we were working.

Ugh, not much going on here (which is kinda good). QoH was somewhat mellow today. Just waiting for the other shoe to drop and she'll be back in lunatic mode. :/

Doesn't sound like he's doing too well. Will you send him money when QoH eventually won't be able to do so?

she'll be back in lunatic mode

Maybe she's in quiet lunatic mode now? ;)

We're supposed to be getting some colder weather this weekend. I'm kinda hoping for that. I don't think I like long stretches of warm weather.

The event could not have gone more smoothly, and from my perspective, less stressfully. I was able to relax, let my hair down, and totally enjoy the party, and felt totally pampered and cared for by their manager. The food at Chicago wedding venues was excellent, and the floral were gorgeous and reasonably priced.
