What Is Wrong With This Picture?
Where I live we are currently under a "Freeze Warning" and a "Wind Chill Advisory." We have been having colder than usual temperatures here since just after Christmas and all the local inhabitants have been bitching and grousing ever since.
When I was a child we used to get extended periods of cold weather that could last until May so I don't see what all the fuss is about. It snowed once in South Florida when I was a wee child. They should all be happy that it is not a repeat performance of The Great Blizzard of 1899 where we had "gulf effect" snow.
One of the great benefits of all this arctic air is all those horrible enormous non-native iguanas are carking it thither and yon and falling dead right out of the trees. Leave it to Mother Nature to do what the State won't!
The overnight temperature is supposed to be 39°F tonight(that's 4°C for the non-Americans)with a wind chill of 28°F(-1°C). I have to laugh when the lady giving the weather update on the radio says that "...there's no end in sight to this cold weather!" I guess she's never heard of this thing called spring.

No hammock out front, duh.
And you mean you have free pollo del arbol just falling down around you? Taco time!
It gets down to 30 here at night but we're back up to 75 by noon; Mother Nature and her mood swings.
And there are no Santos or plastic pink flamingos!
Everyone here(except me, of course)is in full-on panic mode because in some places it's going down into the high 20's and is only nudging back up into the mid fifties.
I think it's wonderful because all the jackasses are barricaded up in their houses leaving the streets virtually deserted.
Luckily, where I live I don't have any canals nearby so no falling iguanas to deal with. I would never even consider eating one! Blech! Now alligator...yum!
I'm assuming that you are no longer freezing your arse off, then?
I'm back, by the way?
Hey Pet, it's back to sweating my arse off! Good to see you're still around, BTW!
